Faced ceiling system

A ceiling system in one embodiment conceals joints between adjoining ceiling panels to provide a monolithic ceiling appearance. The system includes the support structure and ceiling panels each having a top surface, bottom surface, and peripheral edges. In one embodiment, the peripheral edges of the panels may have a hybrid edge detail including a first edge profile and a second edge profile different than the first. A facing material, bonded to the bottom surfaces of ceiling panels after securement to the support structure, has a continuous uninterrupted extent to cover and conceal multiple panels and joints. The facing may be adhesively bonded to the panels.

Suspended ceiling panel holding clip

A hold down clip for retaining one or more ceiling panels on lower flanges of a suspended ceiling tee and allowing removal of the ceiling panels from below after installation. The hold down clip includes at least one outward curved section with a crest between an upper end and a lower end. The clip elastically deforms to produce reactive spring forces when a ceiling panel engages a contact point below the crest of the outward curved section. The clip also includes at least one continuously formed latching section, which may extend from the upper end, lower end, or a transition point below the crest of the outward curved section. The latching section engages the grid tee to generate the spring force. Alternatively, the clip includes a fastener secured to the at least one outward curved section. The fastener is configured for threaded attachment to a receptacle of the grid tee.

Trim strip system for use with underhung ceiling panels

In combination, extruded aluminum trim strips joined end-to-end and a splice plate, the trim strips together, the trim strip cross-sections including a web and a pair of opposed angles, the angles and web forming a track for receiving a mid-section of the splice plate with a close sliding fit, the splice plate having lever tabs at opposite ends, notches at sides of the plate, the plate being disposed in the tracks of both lengths of trim strips, the lever tabs and associated edges of the lever tabs formed by the notches being outside of the tracks, the associated edge being arranged in a locking manner with outer surfaces of the angles as a result of the lever tabs being bent in place towards the web.

Ceiling system

A ceiling system includes a grid support member, and first and second ceiling panels abutted at a joint. In the factory-supplied condition, each panel has a facing sheet already adhesively bonded to a central region of the panel. Perimeter portions of the facing are left un-bonded to an annular peripheral region of the surface surrounding the central region. This allows seams to be made in the field. The facing sheet comprises a cantilevered flap extending beyond a peripheral edge of the panel. During field installation, the flap of a first panel extends across the joint overlapping the second panel's un-bonded facing sheet in the peripheral region. The double thickness of facings is cut to form a seam laterally offset from the joint, which is concealed. A field applied or activated adhesive bonds the facing to the peripheral regions of each panel. A related installation method is disclosed.

Longspan stay-in-place liners

A structure-lining apparatus comprising a plurality of transversely and longitudinally extending panels connectable to a structure and connectable edge-to-edge via complementary connector components on their longitudinally extending edges. Each panel comprises transversely extending edges generally orthogonal to their longitudinally extending edges. Each panel comprises first and second complementary connector components on first and second longitudinally extending edges thereof. The apparatus comprises at least one edge-to-edge connection between a first connector component of a first panel and a second connector component of a second panel wherein a primary male connector component of the second connector component of the second panel is extended into a primary female connector component of the first connector component of the first panel and a secondary male connector component of the first connector component of the first panel is extended into a secondary female connector component of the second connector component of the second panel.

Adjustable electrical fixture mounting assembly

A mounting assembly is provided for quick and easy attachment to engineered joists. The mounting assembly includes a brace assembly and a mounting bracket. The mounting assembly may also include an electrical box. The brace assembly is an adjustable member that extends between flanges of engineered ceiling joists. The brace assembly has two low profile end caps that can engage the flanges of engineered ceiling joists and apply a force against the flanges when tightened. The mounting bracket is connected to a hanger body of the brace assembly by a snap fit and the electrical box is attached to the mounting bracket.

The present disclosure relates to a set comprising a supporting structure, first and second panels and a fastening device for securing the first and second panels to the supporting structure. The fastening device comprises a top portion, having top and bottom surfaces, first and second edge portions, and first and second legs protruding downwardly from the bottom surface. The first and second panels respectively comprise opposite first and second edge grooves into which the first and second edge portions are configured to be respectively inserted. The first and second legs are flexible and bendable towards each other, and respectively comprise first and second locking elements. An upper surface of the supporting structure comprises an insertion groove comprising a first undercut groove and an opposite second undercut groove. The first and second locking elements are respectively configured to be snapped into the first and second undercut grooves to a locked position.
