Modular Wall Panels and System
20200217065 · 2020-07-09 · ·

Modular wall panels having a frame of a plurality of frame components and at least one wall sheet affixed to the frame. Each frame component includes an outer surface with at least one aperture configured to receive and retain an insert therein. The apertures are also configured to permit a cable(s) to pass therethrough for running cables and such through the interior of the wall panel. The frame components may have angled ends, straight ends, or a combination thereof to collectively form a frame which may include corners. A wall system includes a plurality of such wall panels connected to one another along the outer surfaces of the frame components of their respective frames. Connectors and spacers may be inserted into the apertures as inserts and bridge between adjacent panels to selectively connect the panels. Caps may be placed in empty apertures to cover the openings for aesthetic purposes.

System and Method for Preventing Hose Stream Penetration Through Fire-Rated Wall Assemblies
20200190800 · 2020-06-18 ·

A method prevents hose stream penetration into an interior of an enclosure from firefighting activity in a location adjacent to the enclosure. The method forms a wall structure between the enclosure and the adjacent location. The wall structure is covered with a laminated wall panel having a noncombustible wallboard secured to a metallic sheet. Each wall panel is secured to studs of the wall structure with the metallic sheet against studs of the wall structure. The metallic sheets block water of a hose stream from penetrating into the enclosure. The wall structure may also include laminated wall panels secured to the exterior side of the wall structure. Even if the noncombustible wallboard on one of the exterior laminated panels is weakened or destroyed by a fire or by the hose stream in the location adjacent to the enclosure, the metallic sheet of the exterior laminated wall panel blocks hose penetration.

Prefabricated building panels combine new and unexpected element dimensions and materials with the effect of reducing overall weight and depth while simultaneously improving panel performance such as thermal insulation. As compared to former panels, prefabricated building panels according to exemplary embodiments of the invention generally include thinner concrete slabs, wider separations between concrete and support framing, and new material choices for anchors connecting slabs with framing. Exemplary panels are compliant with energy codes such as the latest ASHRAE and IECC.

A construction element includes at least one module with a rectangular parallelepiped shape, hollow and made of a composite material. The module is delimited by an enclosure with four panels, two first opposing parallel panels and two second panels perpendicular to the first panels. The second panels include at least one groove parallel to the first panels. Each second panel is extended on one side by an L-shaped profile and on the other side by a flat profile. The profiles are elements protruding outwards, parallel to the groove.

UNIVERSAL PANEL

An enclosure component for a building structure is provided and includes a first structural panel arranged in a side-by-side relationship with a first edge of a first extension spline, and with a second edge of the first extension spline opposed to the first edge of the first extension spline in a side-by-side relationship with a second structural panel. The component includes a first foam panel arranged in a side-by-side relationship with a first edge of a foam spline, and with a second edge of the foam spline opposed to the first edge of the foam spline in a side-by-side relationship with a second foam panel. The component includes a first structural panel arranged in a side-by-side relationship with a first edge of a second extension spline, and with a second edge of the second extension spline opposed to the first edge in a side-by-side relationship with a second structural panel.

A panel (6) is disclosed for use in construction. The panel (6) comprises opposing surfaces (6A, 6B) that extend between first and second opposite ends (7A, 7B). The panel (6) also comprises a plurality of parallel (e.g. sawtooth) ridges (7). The ridges (7) are provided on at least one of the opposing surfaces (6A and/or 6B). The ridges (7) extend along and adjacent to a first of the opposite ends (7A or 7B) of the panel for at least a part length thereof. The ridges (7) are arranged to engage with and move past corresponding ridges of an adjacent panel (6) when the panels move relative to each other in opposite directions. The ridges (7) are further arranged so as to interfere with the ridges of the adjacent panel to resist relative movement in a reverse of the opposite direction.

A modular seamless corner component for providing a corner to a structure without having to compromise between structural integrity and energy efficiency. The continuous insulation and structure of the modular seamless corner component provide for a stronger corner because there are no seams to magnify stress and provide for a high energy efficiency because there is no thermal bridging.
