SUB-DERMAL JOINTING FOR COMPOSITE PANELIZED BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230183967 · 2023-06-15 ·

Systems and methods are described herein for a panelized building assembly comprising a double skeleton of planar connectors, positioned parallel to and behind the inner and outer building surfaces of panels to be connected. The planar elements may be folded symmetrically about the bisected angle between adjacent surfaces so as to form a coherent and continuous double layer that can, in some cases, offers structural, fire, acoustical and waterproofing performance consistently between various panel. The connectors may extend into the mass of a block of material that forms a continuous edge around the perimeter of the panels, which is bonded continuously to the fiber-reinforced skin of the panel and to the core material that the inner and outer fiber reinforced skins are also continuously bonded to.

A cross-laminated timber panel comprises a plurality of layers of lumber boards, each layer comprising a number of the lumber boards laid side-to-side pointing to a direction, each layer being disposed perpendicular to the direction of an adjoining layer; and an insert member replacing one of the lumber boards, the insert member having a different material or configuration than the lumber boards.

CLT PANEL REINFORCING STRUCTURE

To provide a means for efficiently reinforcing strength around a through hole of a CLT panel. A CLT panel reinforcing structure includes a CLT panel having a through hole; hole; a first reinforcing member having a first plate and a first pipe, the first plate having a first opening; and a second reinforcing member having a second plate and a second pipe, the second plate having a second opening. In the first reinforcing member, the first pipe is inserted into the through hole in a state where an outer peripheral surface of the first pipe abuts on an inner peripheral surface of the through hole, and a largest surface of the first plate abuts on a first surface of the CLT panel. In the second reinforcing member, the second pipe is inserted into the through hole in a state where an outer peripheral surface of the second pipe abuts on an inner peripheral surface of the first pipe, and a largest surface of the second plate abuts on a second surface located opposite to the first surface of the CLT panel.

A modular barrier panel and a barrier formed therewith and methods and systems for construction of the panel and barrier. The panel includes an aboveground portion and a base portion. The aboveground portion includes a grid-like configuration having a plurality of vents that are sized to limit passage of a human therethrough but that enable viewing through the panel. The base portion includes a plurality of side-by-side, waffle-shaped sections with openings therethrough. The panels can be cast on-site, cured overnight, and immediately installed in the barrier formation. The panels are installed in a trench and the base portions are encased in concrete; the openings in the base allow the concrete to flow to both sides of the panel. Sensors, including cameras and vibration sensors, may be installed in the base section or in the foundation concrete or on the aboveground portion to detect actions on, over, or under the barrier.

Concrete voided floor panel

A voided floor panel is provided. The voided floor panel includes a pre-cast dome, strands, reinforcing bars, and a slab. The pre-cast dome includes a flange portion, stem portions, and joint portions. The strands are pre-tensioned. The reinforcing bars are inserted through rebar block-outs of the pre-cast dome. The joint portions, the strands, and the reinforcing bars are cast within the slab. The strands improve a resistance of the slab to flexure. The joint portions improve a vertical shear resistance between the slab and the pre-cast dome. The joint portions may include corrugated dovetails for further improving a horizontal shear resistance between the slab and the pre-cast dome.

Structural panels for buildings integrating 3D printed shells and method of fabrication

A structural panel is manufactured from at least two generally parallel and spaced-apart thin-shell cementitious skins that are joined by a truss matrix. The elements creating the truss matrix, being the truss, the face mesh, and the insulating core, are selected to meet the structural loads to be placed thereon. The thickness of each cementitious skin is selected to meet the structural loads to be placed thereon.

ENCAPSULATED PREFABRICATED PANEL

Example embodiments of the described technology provide a prefabricated building panel. The prefabricated building panel may comprise an insulative core having first and second opposing faces. The prefabricated building panel may also comprise a cementitious layer encapsulating the insulative core. The cementitious layer may increase one or more performance characteristics of the panel.

Cross-laminated timber panel having a conduit therein and attachable fitting

A fitting attachable to a cross-laminated panel provides a chase, plumbing space, airflow duct, or wiring route on an edge of the cross-laminated panel. The fitting may run between edges of multiple cross-laminated panels that contain integral hollow members, forming a customizable network of contiguous coplanar routing paths, accessible without installing pipes and wires behind, or in front of the cross-laminated panels. The fitting may also provide a vertical chase for single or multiple cross-laminated panels. The fitting takes advantage of one or more hollow members in the cross-laminated panels to provide contiguous routing paths for wires, pipes, and venting within the cross-laminated panels themselves, extending across any layout of multiple cross-laminated panels. The fitting may additionally serve as mechanical support for attachment of adjacent panels. Further, the fitting may provide structural connection for the CLT panels as required to meet structural code requirements for the building.

Structural Panel Chase Connection Manufacture Methods are the embedded frame solution to the problems associated with providing access for services, such as plumbing or electrical chases with high precision and accuracy. Connecting two or more panels in any direction using the embedded frame method becomes easy yet incredibly strong without requiring special tools for assembly or disassembly, so that components can be flat packed and stored when not in use. Flexible and variable these Structural Panel Chase Connection Manufacture Methods can accommodate a wide variety of dimensional configuration, not limited to only panel, post and beam configurations and can be manufactured using any available flat building materials.
