Each one of the structural truss modules includes a spaced pair of elongated wood chords and a web connecting the elongated wood chords. The web including a plurality of metal support rods each having a pair of opposed threaded sections. The first of the pair of opposed threaded sections engaged to a first one of the elongated wood chords at an angle thereto. The second of the pair of opposed threaded sections engaged to the other one of the elongated wood chords at an angle thereto. The structural truss modules are cut to a predetermined length. A first member is connected between the spaced pairs of elongated wood chords. First ends of the plurality of structural truss modules are configured to connect to a ledger member.

TRUSSED GIRDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TRUSSED GIRDER OF THIS KIND
20200378119 · 2020-12-03 ·

The invention relates to a trussed girder (10) for the construction industry, having an upper flange (14) and having a lower flange (16) made of square timber, which extend along the longitudinal axis (12) of the trussed girder (10) and which are connected to one another by a plurality of struts (24), which are each arranged so as to extend obliquely to the flanges (14, 16). The struts are formed by at least one strut run (18), the upper side and underside (26, 28) of which are formed in an undulating manner in the axial direction and are arranged so as to extend parallel to one another with radii corresponding to one another. The strut run (18) is mortised or dovetailed in the axial direction alternately by means of the upper flange and the lower flange (14, 16) and is formed as a single-piece wood material part. The invention additionally relates to a method for producing trussed girders of this kind, in particular on a mass scale.

A composite reinforced, optionally treated, wood stud for permanent wood foundations, above ground walls, floor joists, vertical support columns or headers for commercial and residential buildings has a first lumber section having a width and a depth and a second lumber section inverted with respect to the first lumber section having a width and a depth. A plurality of adjacent, aligned in a longitudinal row, mechanical fastening dowels angularly pass through the depth of the first lumber section and pass substantially through the width of the second lumber section. The dowels maintain a spatial relationship between the first and second lumber sections. The angularity of the dowels alternate vertically oppositely between adjacent dowels. From an end view, the dowel alternate in a cant relationship with adjacent dowels in a left and right manner.

TRUSS JIGGING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20200139533 · 2020-05-07 ·

A truss-jig-positioning system that includes a truss-assembly table having a support plane, a plurality of slots in the support plane, and a plurality of puck assemblies automatically movable along the slots. Each puck is self-powered and self-locks at selected locations. A controller controls the pucks. Images of the truss-assembly table and pucks allow the controller to locate pucks, and transmit location-correction information as needed to move pucks to desired locations for building various trusses, wall assemblies, etc. Pucks are self-powered, self-moving, motorized jigging members. Each operates from controller commands to unlock from one location, move along their slot and lock to a new location. Optionally location-measuring (machine-vision) subsystem(s) communicate wirelessly with the pucks to readjust positions and re-lock at the adjusted position. Optionally, the jigging pucks can automatically move along slots to connect to a recharging station to self-recharge on-puck batteries or supercapacitors.

CUSTOMIZED WOODY TRUSSED JOIST

A trussed joist (such as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 3) is provided which includes an upper chord and a lower chord connected to each other by descending and ascending diagonals making triangular or trapezoid openings across the joist. The joist is supported at lower chord not matching the truss node point or supported at the upper chord whereby the joist is unworkable. At least one reinforcing is fixed at the faces of the chords by dowel fasteners. The reinforcing element overlaps at least one truss node point

A building framework is disclosed herein comprising a first structural member, a second structural member, and a third structural member disposed between the first and second structural members, a first web member connecting the first and third structural members in a spaced apart relationship, and a second web member connecting the second and third structural members in a spaced apart relationship. The first web member is positioned relative to the second web member such that the shortest distance between the first web member and second web member is greater than or equal to 5 times the thickness of the third structural member. Additional products, systems, and methods also are disclosed.

Truss jigging system

A truss jigging system has an elongated table having a lower support deck supporting a plurality of spaced slot-defining C-shaped or T-shaped rails with infill panels filling spaces in between to define a truss-piece support. The table has a plurality of the carriages moving in the slots and moving locating pins or pucks that extend above the support plane to select positions. Linear drive systems drive the carriages to and fro. The locating pins (or pucks), the carriages and the drive systems therefor are all preferably located above the base plane of the lower support deck in order to accommodate a X-Y scrolling vertical press style which has a heavy lower crossbeam that scrapes or skims laterally left and right closely underneath the lower support deck.

Building with roof trusses directly connected to the foundation

The present invention provides a building comprising a foundation; a wall supported by the foundation; and trusses supported by the wall. A plurality of hold down assemblies connects at least some of the trusses directly to the foundation. Each hold down assembly comprises an anchor; a tie-rod connected to the anchor; a bearing plate operably associated with an end portion of an associated truss for transferring load to the tie-rod; and a fastener securing the tie-rod to the bearing plate, thereby tying the associated truss directly to the foundation.
