Prefabricated structural bamboo system for slabs and roofs

This invention refers to a structural system for floor and roof construction, based on a parallel arrangement of a set of composite pre-tensioned girders to provide support to a deck formed by layers of any given material. The composite girders are components formed by lengths of bamboo culms, steel components and fillings of mortar or other materials, arranged in such way that a maximum mechanical efficiency is obtained.

A system or method for a structural mine roof support includes a roof support apparatus that includes a cylindrical cladding defining a hollow interior, a plurality of bamboo sections disposed in the hollow interior and coaxial with an axis of the cylinder. Also, a roof support apparatus with a cylindrical cladding defining a hollow interior, a plurality of bamboo sections disposed in the hollow interior and coaxial with an axis of the cylinder, and voids between adjacent bamboo sections, the voids being injected with a filler material, e.g., polyurethane foam, to maintain axial positioning of the bamboo sections when under load. The support apparatus configured to load and to yield in a predetermined fashion to control a mine roof from sudden failure.

CUSTOMIZED WOODY TRUSSED JOIST

A trussed joist (such as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 3) is provided which includes an upper chord and a lower chord connected to each other by descending and ascending diagonals making triangular or trapezoid openings across the joist. The joist is supported at lower chord not matching the truss node point or supported at the upper chord whereby the joist is unworkable. At least one reinforcing is fixed at the faces of the chords by dowel fasteners. The reinforcing element overlaps at least one truss node point

MODULAR PARTITION SYSTEM

A modular partition system comprises a plurality of panels and at least one connecting strip. Each of the plurality of panels comprises two support members extending generally perpendicularly to a plane of the modular partition system and a central panel extending between said two support panels. The plurality of panels are arranged such that the central panels of each of the plurality of panels are generally mutually parallel and one support member of each of the plurality of panels is adjacent to a support member of an adjacent panel. The at least one connecting strip cooperates with a support member from each of two of the plurality of adjacent panels so as to connect said two of the plurality of adjacent panels.

METHOD AND SYSTEM TO SECURE SHORING DECK

The disclosure is directed to a method and system for securing a shoring deck to a column. The method includes providing a first beam bracing against a column, wherein the first beam is disposed at a first longitudinal axis that is perpendicular to a long axis of the column. The method includes coupling the first beam to first and second deck beams of a plurality of deck beams of a shoring deck. The method also includes providing a second beam bracing against the column and coupling the second beam to third and fourth deck beams of the plurality of deck beams. The method further includes positioning the first and second beams with respect to the column such that respective first and second longitudinal axes through the respective first and second beams are aligned at an acute angle with respect to each other.

Building with roof trusses directly connected to the foundation

The present invention provides a building comprising a foundation; a wall supported by the foundation; and trusses supported by the wall. A plurality of hold down assemblies connects at least some of the trusses directly to the foundation. Each hold down assembly comprises an anchor; a tie-rod connected to the anchor; a bearing plate operably associated with an end portion of an associated truss for transferring load to the tie-rod; and a fastener securing the tie-rod to the bearing plate, thereby tying the associated truss directly to the foundation.
