Hollow composite beam using dual-web and construction method thereof

Provided are a hollow composite beam using a dual-web and a construction method thereof. The hollow composite beam using a dual-web can secure space efficiency using a tendon installed in an internal space of a dual-web and can efficiently adjust a tensioning force using the tendon anchored by an anchoring wedge and a separable bolt, wherein the dual-web is formed as a web of a steel beam having a bottom flange on which a deck plate is supported.

Method of de-tensioning a rod

A method of de-tensioning a rod by attaching a gripping unit removal device to a gripping unit and rod, positioning a chair frame over the gripping unit, positioning a rod tensioning unit along the rod with one end of the rod tensioning unit being in contact with the chair frame, applying a first force to the rod tensioning unit, positioning a bearing plate on the rod in contact with the rod tensioning unit, positioning a load cell in contact with the rod on the rod tensioning unit, securing a drive unit to the chair frame such that a portion of the drive unit is in contact with the rod, applying a second pressure to the rod tensioning unit, actuating the drive unit, and releasing the second pressure on the rod tensioning unit.

Anchor sleeve and anchor system

The invention is directed to an anchor sleeve (100) for an anchor system (1) suited for anchoring of a composite tension member (300). The anchor sleeve (100) comprises a sleeve base body (101) that has a receiving opening (105) configured to receive an anchor body (200) and extending from a sleeve front opening (121) arranged at a sleeve front end (120) to a sleeve rear opening (131) arranged at a sleeve rear end (130). The sleeve base body (101) is at least partially made from a fiber-reinforced plastic comprising reinforcing fibers whereof at least a portion is wound about the receiving opening (105).

SHALLOW UNDERCUT CONCRETE ANCHOR

A concrete anchor capable of resisting large loads while requiring minimal embedment depth. The system includes a concrete structure including a cylindrical opening in the concrete surface thereof. The system also uses an anchor which includes a sleeve and a plug. The sleeve includes at least two legs extending toward a first end of the sleeve. The plug includes an increasing diameter portion disposed toward a first end of the plug. The plug includes a locking opening. After installation, legs of the sleeve extend radially outward past the wall and the increasing diameter portion prevents inward movement of the legs to lock the sleeve and the plug in turn in the concrete cylindrical opening. Furthermore, dynamic loading on the plug via the locking opening when the anchor is in use generates a dynamic radially outward force on the legs to secure the anchor in the concrete hole.

The object is attained by a method of erecting a wind turbine tower having a plurality of tower segments which are tensioned by means of tensioning members. A plurality of tensioning members is provided and a fixing unit is fixed at an end of the tensioning members. Fixing of the fixing unit is effected by placing a multi-part wedge unit at a free end of the tensioning members which comprise a plurality of tensioning wires. A sleeve is fitted over the wedge unit and a pulling tab is fixed on or at the sleeve. The pulling tab has an opening. A cable is fixed at or in the hole in the pulling tab. The cable with the fixing unit and thus the tensioning members is pulled upwardly. The fixing unit is fixed at a segment of the tower, that is to be fixed. The sleeve is removed before the tensioning member is braced.

A system can tension a cable that is to be strung through a plurality of columns. The tensioning system is disposed at the last column and includes a spacing device and a barrel with a tapered cavity. A number of tapered elements are slidably mounted in the barrel's cavity and will encompass the cable and favor unidirectional movement of the cable. The barrel and the tapered elements have opposite openings that allow the cable to emerge from opposite ends thereof. With the barrel at the outward side of the last one of the plurality of columns, the cable is pulled through the tapered elements, away from the plurality of columns. Next, at a side opposite the outward side of the last column, the cable is grasped and pulled away from the barrel to seat the tapered elements. Working again on the outward side, the barrel is then moved away from the last column. The spacing device is applied at the barrel to set the spacing between the barrel and the last column.
