The coupler may also include a coupler body including a first end, a second end, and a passageway extending between the first end and the second end, the first end secured to the first chuck, the second end secured to the second chuck, the first end including first internal threads engaging the first external threads, the second end including second internal threads engaging the second external threads.
Cable anchorage with seal element, prestressing system comprising such anchorage and method for installing and tensioning a sheathed elongated element
The present invention concerns a cable anchorage comprising at least one axial channel for accommodating an elongated element with a sheathed portion and an unsheathed end portion, wherein the channel between a first channel end, proximal to a running part of the elongated element, and a second channel end equipped with immobilising device, a seal element in the channel, a stop element having an end facing said seal element which defines a shoulder, so that an axial displacement of the of the elongated element with respect to the stop element in said channel is possible up to the abutment of the end of the sheathed portion against the shoulder, creating thereby an abutment position of the elongated element in said channel.
Prestressing cable, in particular for static structures
A prestressing cable, in particular for static structures, that includes a longitudinal element and connection elements at the end faces of the longitudinal element. The longitudinal element has stranded wires, the end faces of which are anchored into the connection elements. The prestressing cable includes approximately parallel strands, each of which has stranded wires. The wires are spread apart at their end faces in the funnel-shaped opening of the respective connection element and anchored by a casting process, wherein the frustum-shaped funnel widens away from the strands.
Coupling encapsulator for repairing post-tensioned concrete
A coupling encapsulator for a post-tension cable splice coupler, including a tubular member including a first end and a second end, a first end cap, including a first segment operatively arranged to engage the first end, a second segment connected to the first portion, wherein the first segment extends from the second segment in a first axial direction, and a first flange connected to the second segment and extending radially inward in the first axial direction, and a second end cap, including a third segment operatively arranged to engage the second end, a fourth segment connected to the third segment and extending in a second axial direction, opposite the first axial direction, and a second flange connected to the fourth segment and extending radially inward in the second axial direction.
SPARK CAPTURE SYSTEM FOR USE WITH CUTTING TORCH
A spark absorbing system for use with a cutting torch, comprises a cap having at least one spark opening therethrough and a spark capture unit coupled to the cap and positioned to capture sparks passing through the spark opening. The spark capture unit may comprise a tube extending from the cap and may include an outlet and a flow-reduction element positioned between the cap and the outlet and/or a spark accumulator between the cap and the spark capture unit. The flow-reduction element may comprise at least one baffle, screen or mesh. The spark absorbing system may further include a spark ramp extending from the cap opposite the spark capture unit and/or a shield, which may define a cutting space between the shield and the cap.
Cap for anchor of post-tension anchorage system
The process includes forming a concrete form at least one end wall where the concrete form is adapted to receive concrete placed thereinto. The process also includes setting a fixed end anchor and a tensioning end anchor on at least one end wall where the fixed end anchor and tensioning end anchor are each adapted to receive a tendon. The process further includes threading the tendon through the fixed end anchor and tensioning end anchor such that a tensioning end portion of the tendon extends from the tensioning end anchor and placing concrete into the concrete form. The process includes installing a cap about the circumference of the tensioning end portion of the tendon. The cap includes a cap body. The cap body includes an inner bore, where the inner bore has a diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of the tendon.
Automatic tensioning system and method for strengthening beam, slab and column by pre-stressed FRP plate
An automatic tensioning system for strengthening a beam, a slab and a column by a pre-stressed FRP plate comprises a tensioning end anchor (1), a fixed end anchor (10), and a tensioning bracket (3) connected to the tensioning end anchor (1). A centre-hole jack (16) is provided in the middle of the tensioning bracket (3), a threaded rod (8) passes through the tensioning bracket (3) and is then connected to the centre-hole jack (16), and an upper toothed nut (13) and a lower toothed nut (19) respectively driven by a driving mechanism are provided on two sides of the tensioning bracket (3) on the threaded rod (8). A binary clip-type fixture (4) is further comprised, an upper surface thereof is provided with a cylinder (6), and a sleeve (7) nested outside the cylinder (6) is connected to the threaded rod (8).
