Fastening systems for attaching fabric to a roof deck
Fastener systems for roofing systems are disclosed for fastening a fabric, mesh, or base sheet to a roof deck prior to application of a liquid applied roof coating. The fastening assemblies may be attached to an uncleaned or unprimed roof deck and a fabric is laid atop the fasteners. The fasteners secure the fabric using mechanical binding or chemical bonding without penetrating or dimpling the fabric.
Flat roof mounting device
A roof-mounting device for covering a roof penetration in a roof includes a base having an open top, an open bottom, and an outer perimeter structure. An internal reservoir of the device is in communication with the open top and the open bottom, and a mount plate is disposed in the internal reservoir extending between opposed ends of the outer perimeter structure. A bore is formed in the mount plate below the top of the base, the bore for receiving a fastener for fastening the mounting device at the roof penetration. When the bore receives the fastener therein, the internal reservoir is unsevered, remaining in communication with the open top and open bottom of the base.
Integral nail/disk structure for eliminating exposed roof nails
An integral one-piece nail/disk structure which eliminates the need of having any exposed nails associated with a shingled roof, the nail/disk structure including a body member having a roofing nail incorporated or encapsulated therewithin and having color granules associated with at least a portion of the top surface of the body member. The nail/disk structure may include a sealant covering at least a portion of the bottom surface of the body member. The roofing nail is integrally formed with the body member.
MAGNETIC CLAMPING HEAT SINK ASSEMBLY
A magnetic clamping heat sink assembly is disclosed including a magnetic assembly with a carrier body including a magnet. A spring resiliently biases the carrier body. A base assembly includes a base plate. In a first operating condition, the base assembly of the magnetic clamping heat sink assembly is positioned in a first position away from a ferromagnetic element, and the spring holds the carrier body at a medial position spaced apart from the base plate. In a second operating condition, the base assembly of the magnetic clamping heat sink assembly is positioned in a second position adjacent to the ferromagnetic element, and the carrier body is driven downward against a force of the spring to a lower position and into contact with the base plate by magnetic attraction between the at least one magnet and the ferromagnetic element.
Building envelope element comprising a thermal insulating element
A building cover element is described with at least one, preferably stationary arranged fastening device, which comprises an exterior section aligned to the exterior of a building to be provided with the building cover element, comprising at least one film element, which shows an exterior film layer to be arranged at the exterior of the building and anchored with an edge section at the fastening device, and with at least one thermally insulating element. The thermally insulating element is arranged with a first section at the exterior section of the fastening device and with at least one second section resting on the edge section of the exterior film layer of at least one film element.
Roofing membranes having multiple adhesive regions and method therefor
A roofing membrane may include a main body, a first material, and a second material. The first material may be bonded to the main body and positioned toward a first edge thereof. The second material may be bonded to the main body and positioned toward a second edge thereof. The second edge may be positioned opposite the first edge such that the first and second materials are positioned toward opposite edges of the main body. At least one of the first material or the second material may include a first reactive material of a chemically reactive two-part cure system that is configured to chemically react upon contact of the first reactive material with a second reactive material of the chemically reactive two-part cure system.
Non-penetrating roof mount for a membrane roof
A mounting assembly for a membrane roof has a metal base plate coated on both sides with material compatible to heat weld, a plurality of openings spaced around an outer periphery, one further hole within the pattern having a bolt passing upward through the hole, and a first sheet of roofing membrane material having length and width dimensions smaller than those of the metal base plate, heat welded over the bolt head.
Nozzle and fastening element for fastening a material layer
The invention relates to a nozzle (10) for fastening a material layer to a substructure, comprising a plate (12) and a hollow shank (14), integrally formed thereon, for taking a fastening screw (24; 34), wherein a stepped bore (16) is provided in the hollow shank, wherein the stepped bore (16) comprises at least two steps (28; 38; 50) between at least three regions (18; 30; 36; 2), wherein the hollow shank (14) is formed so as to taper at least partially in a conical manner on an external surface, wherein the hollow shank (14) is provided with radially expandable elements, and wherein the expandable elements are formed as axial grooves (40) externally in that part of the hollow shank (14) that is formed in a conically tapering manner. The invention proposes that the grooves (10) are each provided at the groove base at least partially with a thin bottom (42) that is stretchable or breakable by the expansion. The present invention also relates to a fastening element comprising a nozzle (10) according to the invention and a fastening screw (24; 34).
