The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.

The installation groove is configured for receiving a light emitting assembly, which is configured for emitting visible light when sensing stimulation. The light emitting assembly comprises a sensing unit and a light emitting unit. The light emitting unit is capable of emitting light when the sensing unit senses the stimulation.

A safety grip system comprises first and second support structures wherein the second support structure extends transverse to the first support structure. The first support structure is provided with a first longitudinally extending safety grip at one end thereof. The first longitudinally extending safety grip on the end of the first support structure has an opening therethrough through which the second support structure extends, whereby the first longitudinally extending safety grip is non-rotatably secured to the first support structure. A second longitudinally extending safety grip is provided on the first support structure and has engagement members that inter-engage engagement members provide don the first longitudinally extending safety grip, whereby the second longitudinally extending safety grip is non-rotatably secured to the first support structure.

The present invention relates to stanchion padding and more specifically to stanchion padding for use in transit vehicles. The stanchion padding of the present invention comprises a tube having a hollow centre running through it from a first end to a second end and the tube also comprising an exterior wall and an interior wall joined by at least two channel walls forming at least two hollow channels. These hollow channels may be adapted to receive end caps and at least one end cap may be installed onto either the first end or the second end of the tube. The interior wall may additionally have small inner channels running the length of the tube. The tube may be made by thermoplastic extrusion and at least one end cap may be made by thermoplastic injection molding.

A system for assisting a user with navigating a set of stairs includes a pulley system positioned adjacent to the stairs, the pulley system including a first pulley, a second pulley, and an elongated member coupled to and looped around the first pulley and the second pulley. The system further includes a motor coupled to the first pulley, a sensing assembly operatively coupled to the pulley system, the sensing assembly being structured and configured to sense that a force is being applied to or that is about to be applied to the elongated member by the user, and a controller coupled to the motor and the sensing assembly. The controller is structured and configured to, responsive to the sensing assembly sensing the force, turn the motor on to drive the first pulley.

The apparatus comprises an expandable load bearing body (4) together with a means for expanding the body laterally in two dimensions within the ends of two hollow posts (7, 7). In one embodiment, the expansion means comprise threaded bores (8), set screws (2, 2) and contact pads (5) configured to spread the expansive forces within the inside surface of hollow posts (7, 7) in two dimensions. Methods for connecting two hollow posts using the apparatus are also described.
