Modular railing systems with cellular PVC panels
The present invention relates to the field of railing and fencing systems. More particularly, embodiments of the present invention relate to modular railing/fencing systems comprising extruded aluminum railings with cellular polyvinyl chloride (PVC) panel inserts having an impact resistance of up to about 350 lb/ft.sup.2, which combined provide a system capable of withstanding significant external forces. Particular embodiments of the invention include modular fencing systems comprising: a) one or more upright vertical post members; b) upper and lower horizontal guardrails with a longitudinal panel-receiving channel; c) one or more cellular polyvinyl chloride (PVC) panel inserts operably configured for insertion in the panel-receiving channels of the upper and lower guardrails; d) wherein, upon installation, the system is capable of receiving a load normal to the panel ranging from about 180 to about 360 lb/ft.sup.2 without failure. Cellular PVC panels for use in such systems are also included.
PANEL SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD
It is known to secure a panel 1 within a trough 3 by placing one edge of the panel 1 within the trough 3 and filling the trough with resin 21. Once hardened, the resin 21 holds the panel 1 in place securely. However, panels 1 thus secured cannot be removed easily if damaged. The present invention provides a barrier 11, 13 for preventing flow of liquid resin 21 along a length of a trough 3, and for receiving a panel 1 thereon. A panel 1 may therefore be secured within a trough 3 with a reduced amount of resin 21.
Passage control device
A passage control device having a corridor (1) and at least one pedestrian barrier (3), which, by the use of at least one blocking element (5) which is arranged in the region of the corridor (1) and can be moved between a blocking position and a passage position, releases or blocks the corridor (1) for a passage. Lateral boundaries (2) are arranged right and left of the corridor (1). The lateral boundaries (2) have a module rail (6) that is close to the ground and is provided with receptacles for functional elements and/or functional modules of the access control device, more particularly with specifically adapted receptacles for functional elements and/or functional modules of the access control device, preferably in a predefined grid.
Infill adaptor for a balustrade
An infill adaptor for mounting a screen between upper and lower rails of a balustrade. The upper and lower rails have respective channels which open toward each other. The infill adaptor has a generally L-shaped body with a rail engaging leg extending generally perpendicular to a sash engaging leg. A respective rail engaging leg is mounted in each of the channels for securing an infill adaptor to each rail. The sash engaging leg is secured to the sash of a screen for mounting a screen to the rails.
Support for rigid panel
A support for a rigid panel (16) comprising an elongate channel (12) for attaching to a surface, at least one cradle (14) for receiving an edge of the panel, each cradle being receivable in the elongate channel and angularly adjustable about a longitudinal axis relative thereto, and locking means (18, 20) for securing the or each cradle to the elongate channel in an adjusted position.
Fixing system for a panel comprising means for adjusting the inclination and relative procedure for adjustment
Disclosed is an apparatus for the connection of one or more panels to a building element, the apparatus including: a support profile, provided with an anchor base fixed to an installation surface of the building element, a first and a second wing and a cavity, which acts as a seat for at least a portion or edge of the panel; a system designed to adjust the laying set-up of the panel with respect to the support profile, so as to adjust the inclination of the panel with respect to the building element or to panels adjacent thereto. The laying set-up adjustment system of the panel provides an adjustment assembly, capable of providing the edge of the panel with a controllable rotation around a fulcrum and of adjusting the inclination of said panel.
Systems and method for a barrier with interchangeable panels
A method and system for a barrier system configured to controllably block egress from and ingress to a predetermined area is provided. The barrier system includes a barrier panel including a barrier screen that is at least one of transparent and translucent such that viewing the predetermined area through the barrier system is permitted, the barrier screen is removable from the barrier panel and replaceable with another different barrier screen selectable by a user. The barrier system also includes a support device including an attachment assembly configured to support the barrier panel in a vertical orientation through a side of the barrier panel.
Panel railing
A panel railing has a dimensionally stable U-shaped profile. Between the two limbs of the U-shaped profile, the base region of a glass pane is held in a clamped manner. A spacer body and a rod body are arranged in the opening region of the U-shaped profile between the glass pane and one limb. The rod body is provided in an upper, free edge region of at least one of the two limbs. The rod body is placed in a pressing manner with its one outer face against the limb and with its other outer face, which lies opposite the former, against the glass pane. On the inner side of the limb, there is at least one projection which protrudes from said limb in the direction of the glass pane and is present below the maximum width extent of the rod body.
CLAMPS FOR PANEL-TYPE FENCES
A clamp (300) for use in supporting fence panels (306). The clamp (300) enables adjustment of the tilt of a panel (306) to be supported in the clamp (300) using movable clamp assemblies (364, 365) within the clamp, positionable using a tilt adjuster (screw 348). The adjuster screw (348) and a screw (350) that clamps clamping members (302, 304) of the clamp (300) are located under the supported panel (306) so as to be unobtrusive. Clamps (600, 800) on the same principle are provided which are suitable for different mounting arrangements, including a clamp (800) which can be grouted in place yet enable easy replacement of a broken panel.
POST FOR SECURING A PANEL, AND FRENCH-STYLE BALCONY, PRIVACY SCREEN OR SUNSHADE COMPRISING SUCH A POST
A post for securing a panel (1) includes a base (5), having two faces (5a, 5b) which are substantially orthogonal with respect to each other. The base has one face (5a) which is parallel to the plane of the panel (1), having a linear compression seal (13) at its free end, and one face (5b) which is orthogonal to the plane of the panel (1). The base has a flap (7), articulated with respect to the base (5) at the free end of the face (5b) which is orthogonal to the plane of the panel (1), carrying a complementary linear compression seal (13) at its end opposite to the articulation (51, 71), and a wedge (9), having an insert (11), inserted at the level of the articulation (51, 71) between the base (5) and the flap (7) in the assembled state which, when inserted, locks articulation (51, 71) in a position clamping the panel (1).
