Universal Z-Z channel for mounting wall panels to existing wall
Disclosed is a system of cladding along an existing exterior wall of a building featuring a plurality of Z-shaped components deployed in a parallel spaced apart arrangement, with an insulation panel in between two of the Z-shaped components. The Z-shaped components having a J-wall to enforce a moisture gap between exterior wall paneling and insulation. The Z-shaped components may feature Edge-components when the line of insulation panels needs to be interrupted or when it reaches a corner or edge of a wall.
Facing System
An insulated facing system, suitable for application to a wide variety of building façade substrates, in both new build and retro-fit situations. It is a simple to install and cost effective lightweight facing system, with rebate edged insulation attached to facing panels by back site anchors, and fixed to building facades by a clip and horizontal rail system.
The system provides excellent whole life costings and seamless architectural detailing.
BUILDING RAIL SYSTEM
A building rail system. The system includes large and small building rails capable of forming flush connections at varied angles. The flush connection of the rails eliminates an extra layer of space that would otherwise exist if the rails had to be offset to form a connection.
Pre-fabricated construction panels
A pre-fabricated construction panel for use on an external surface and/or as part of a budding or construction is provided. The panel comprises at least a first layer which is at least partially provided from thermally insulating material having a first surface, the panel comprising at least a second layer, the at least second layer being provided from fiber cement board, the second layer having a second surface facing the first surface. The first surface is profiled having recessed surface zones and heightened surface zones, the first and second layers being connected one to the other at least along the heightened surface zones of the first, the recessed surface zones provides at least one interspace between the first and second surface. This at least one inter-space has at least two openings to the external of the panel for enabling air to flow into and out of the interspace towards the external of the panel. Less than 25% of the total surface of the first surface is connected to, e.g. adheres to, the second surface.
COATED INSULATION MATERIAL SUBSTRATE
A coated insulation material comprising an insulation material substrate and a coating on at least part of a surface of the insulation material substrate and wherein the coating comprises 20 to 65 wt % alkali silicate based on the total weight of the cured coating and the alkali silicate comprises potassium silicate. Also described is an aqueous coating composition useful in providing the insulation material coating, a potassium silicate coating, methods of producing the coated insulation material and potassium silicate coating and kit of parts including an insulation material substrate and either the aqueous coating composition or the potassium silicate coating.
DEVICE FOR THERMALLY INSULATING A BUILDING WALL FROM THE OUTSIDE, AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SUCH A DEVICE
A device (2) for thermally insulating a building wall (1) from the outside, being applicable in particular to walls and roofs, includes, starting from the wall, a layer (3) of impermeable rigid insulation, spacers (4) and a perforated rigid facing sheet (6) at a distance from the layer (3) of rigid insulation so as to form an air gap (7) between the facing sheet and the layer (3) of rigid insulation. A layer (8) of granular insulation (9) in divided form is contained in synthetic textile bags (10) placed in the air gap (7). A method for implementing such a device is also described.
Insulated building structure
An insulated building structure, in particular an insulated roof structure or a wall structure of a building, comprises at least one thermal insulation layer. At least one moisture-variable protective layer for the thermal insulation layer is provided on an outer side of the thermal insulation layer and on an inner side of the thermal insulation layer facing a building interior of the building. The protective layers each have a water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thickness S.sub.d. The water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thicknesses S.sub.d of the two protective layers deviate from each other by less than 20%, preferably less than 10%, in the range of a relative humidity from 0% to 25% and/or in the range of a relative humidity from 80% to 100%.
COMPOSITE INSULATING PANEL
An insulating siding panel comprises a backing member, and a siding member. The backing member comprises a front face, a rear face, a top face, and a bottom face. The siding member has an upper end, a lower end, and a nailing divot. An upper end of the backing member combines with the upper end of the siding member to form a tongue. A groove is defined in the bottom face of the backing member that is complementary in shape to the tongue. the nailing divot of the lower panel may be concealed by a front section of the backing member of the upper panel.
A Kit for Forming a Panel and a Method of Forming a Panel
A kit for forming a panel including a panel component, the panel component including a surface sheet formed from a first material, and a body layer to which the surface sheet is adhered generally parallel to the body layer, wherein the body layer has a thickness greater than a thickness of the surface sheet, the body layer has a density less than a density of the surface sheet, and a separate side edge portion adapted to be adhered along at least one edge of the panel component.
MOUNTED PANEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A mountable panel includes a panel body and a hanger body. The panel body includes front, rear, longitudinal side and lateral side surfaces, and a channel having a recessed portion recessed from the rear surface and a leg portion extending into the panel body from a first longitudinal end of the recessed portion. The hanger body includes a base portion disposed in the recessed portion of the channel and recessed from the rear surface of the panel body, a leg portion extending forward from a first longitudinal end of the base portion and into the leg portion of the channel, and a hook portion extending rearward from the base portion.
