Composed element, multi-layered board and panel-shaped element for forming this composed element

A composed element includes at least two panel-shaped elements, which each have an edge zone in which coupling means are present in a profiled part respectively extending in the longitudinal direction of the respective edge zone, and each including an end face extending transversely to the respective edge zone. The profiled parts allow the coupling of the panel-shaped elements together in an interlocking manner. At least one of the panel-shaped elements includes an arrangement which hides from view at least a portion of the profiled part formed at the pertaining edge zone at the location of the end face.

A set of building panels including a first mechanical locking system at respective first and second opposite edges. The first mechanical locking system including at one of the first or second opposite edges a tongue groove configured to receive a locking tongue of the other of the first or second edges, for vertical locking of adjacent essentially identical panels in an assembled position. The locking tongue includes an essentially horizontal and/or upwards-facing upper surface. A second mechanical locking system is formed on respective third and fourth opposite edges. The second mechanical locking system includes at one of the third or fourth edges a wedge groove configured to receive a displaceable locking tongue, for vertical locking of essentially identical adjacent panels in an assembled position. The displaceable locking tongue is configured to displace in a displacement groove provided in the said other of the third or fourth edge.

Methods and interfaces for detecting a proximity between devices and initiating playback of media

The present disclosure generally relates to interfaces and techniques for media playback on one or more devices. In accordance with some embodiments, an electronic device includes a display, one or more processors, and memory. A proximity between the electronic device and a second device is detected and in response to detecting the proximity between the electronic device and the second device, the media playback status of the electronic device and/or the second device is modified.

Panel and Covering Comprising the Same

The present invention relates to a panel and to a covering including a plurality of such panels. The present invention particularly relates to floor panels, and more in particular to laminated floor panels, hardwood floor panels, solid wood floor panels, or PVC based floor panels. The invention proposes a coupling of the tongues of different adjacent panels that are arranged on the short side of those panels by a tongue of a further panel that is arranged on the long side of that panel. Compared to prior art panels, an improved coupling between the short sides of adjacent panels can be achieved, reducing the likelihood that these panels become detached.

Exterior building component and method for manufacturing the same

An exterior building component with a distinct surface topography and a method for manufacturing the same. A substrate, a barrier film, and an adhesive are provided together with a finishing sacrificial coating. The adhesive has pressure sensitive characteristics in a temperature range including a temperature below barrier film embossment temperature. The temperature of a surface of the substrate and the barrier film is adjusted to the barrier film embossment temperature. The adhesive is disposed onto at least one of the surface of the substrate and the barrier film. The barrier film is then disposed onto the surface of the substrate and embossed such that the surface topography of the substrate is replicated in a substantially identical fashion using a roller at low pressure and short pressure application time. The barrier film is then, if needed, finished with a weather-resistant coating compatible with commercially available architectural exterior paints and lacquers for refinishing as required.
