A floor panel for forming a floor covering comprises a pair of edges provided with coupling parts allowing to couple two of such floor panels to each other by means of a rotation movement. The coupling parts are realized in the form of a tongue and a groove with locking parts. The groove is bordered by an upper lip and a lower lip which comprises a locking part in the form of an upward-directed locking part. The upward-directed part extends over a height which is more than 0.1 times the thickness of the floor panel.

A floor board including a decorative surface layer applied to a substrate, where the substrate has MDF or HDF material at a side edge thereof, where the side edge is treated both with an impregnation agent and/or a sealing agent based on a superabsorbing material. Floor panels provided with a mechanical locking system comprising a separate material in order to reduce snapping resistance during vertical displacement. For example, a separate flexible tongue, the flexible tongue including an inner part, which is connected to a holding groove at a second edge, and an outer flexible snap tab that extends upwardly and in the connected state into a cavity under a protruding tongue for locking a first and a second floor panel to each other in a vertical direction.

A floor panel is arranged for forming a floor covering, and substantially consists of synthetic material and has a decorative upper side. The floor panel, on at least one pair of opposite edges, comprises coupling parts which allow coupling two of such floor panels to each other. The coupling parts effect a locking in a first direction perpendicular to the plane of the floor panels as well as in a second direction perpendicular to the respective edge and in the plane of the floor panels. A method for manufacturing a floor panel with a substrate and a top layer of laminate, which floor panel, at one or more edges, is provided with a lower edge region, where the laminate extends in one piece from the actual upper surface of the substrate over the lower edge region at least up to a point. The laminate surface is situated at a level in a horizontal plane which intersects the substrate and that the substrate material, at the location of the lower edge region, has the same or a lower density than at the actual upper surface of the substrate material.

Floor panels are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system that may be locked with a vertical displacement of a first panel against a second panel. The locking system includes a flexible strip that during locking bends upwardly or downwardly. The locking system includes a first and a second joint edge section with different locking functions. One section provides a horizontal locking and another section provides a vertical locking.

The vertically active locking system comprises a locking element formed by an insert, formed by a coextruded strip. This comprises a blocking body, a securing section and a bending zone. The blocking body is substantially made of a first polymer; the bending zone is substantially made of a second polymer. The blocking body is substantially or entirely made of a mixture of the first polymer and the second polymer, or the bending zone is substantially or entirely made of a mixture of the second polymer and the first polymer.

A plurality of floor panels consists of a first series of floor panels includes first floor panels, and a second series of floor panels includes second floor panels. The first and second floor panels are configured for fold-type coupling. The first and second floor panels define coupling parts mutually differing from each other and are configured so that the first and second floor panels are compatible and able to be coupled to one another.
