DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USE IN CLEANING A FACADE
Disclosed is a method for controlling cleaning at least a portion of a building facade (104a). A multi-dimensional map of a facade (104a) is cleaned from an elevator platform (200) of an elevator system is received. According to the map, an ordered sequence of instructions is determined. The instructions comprise robotic arm instructions and elevator platform instructions that are temporally intertwined to execute a cleaning pattern covering at least part of facade (104a). The robotic arm instructions are forwarded to control one or more robotic arms (206) and the elevator platform instructions are forwarded to control the elevation of the elevator platform (200). A corresponding device (221, 213) and non-transient memory (223), and a system having the device, are also disclosed.
LADDER-BASED WINCH-POWERED PLANK SCAFFOLD
A plank scaffold system and, more particularly, to a ladder-based vertically-adjustable plank scaffold system. The system may have a pair of ladders, a wall standoff mounted at the top of each of the ladders, a crane support mounted at the top of each of the ladders, a vertical guide bar and roller system to keep it from swinging on the cables, and a horizontal platform suspended on cables below the crane supports, the platform having a pair of cable winches mounted thereon for varying the elevation of the platform. Instead of ladders, tower scaffolds or stage towers may be used on each side to support the vertically-adjustable plank.
Self-Climbing Platform
A self-climbing platform adapted to movably attach to, and hang from, a vertical structure for supporting a load with a cable connected to a main support connector comprising a retaining strap configured to surround at least a portion of the vertical structure, an adjustment lock attached to the retaining strap and a bracket. The bracket comprising an upper member connecting on one side to an adjustment bar and to a second side of a lower member to form a triangulated structure configured to a cantilevered position with respect to the vertical structure. The cable supporting the platform is connected to the bracket in a manner permitting transmission of the force required to support the self-climbing platform in a direction angled towards the vertical structure. The platform can rotate 360 around a tree or pole and can be used in forestry, civil or recreational fields.
