SAFETY AND FLUID FLOW ENHANCEMENT DEVICE FOR FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEMS
A safety device for installation in a fluid transfer system includes an adapter having a front opening and a rear opening for directional flow of water therethrough, and a funnel-shaped flange surrounding the front opening for directing fluid flow through the adapter in a laminar flow with less turbulence. In one embodiment, the adapter is installed within a coupler sleeve for joining two pipe sections together to thereby improve fluid flow through the pipe in a fluid transfer system, while reducing vacuum pressure. In another embodiment, the adapter is fitted with a protective cap wherein the combined adapter and protective cap function as a standalone safety device to prevent entrapments and mitigate eviscerations. In still another embodiment, the adapter is fitted within a pump strainer basket to improve flow and reduce turbulence at the pump of the fluid transfer system.
SPA HAVING DRAIN SYSTEM FOR IMPROVED WATER CIRCULATION
A spa includes a shell having at least one cavity, the spa shell being configured to hold a volume of water, at seat insert having a plurality of hydrotherapy jets, the seat insert being received in the at least one cavity and defining a space between the seat insert and the shell, and a drain associated with the at least one cavity for removing water from the space between the seat insert and the shell.
Adjustable angle and height gutter drain
A gutter drain includes a hopper with a convex bottom adjustably mated to a socket in the top of a drain tube. The socket is sized and shaped as a negative impression of the convex bottom, except that the depth of the socket is less than the depth of the convex bottom. A downtube from the drain tube is sized to fit into and mate with a vertical drain pipe. The hopper may be positioned and angled flush with a pitched surface of a gutter.
IN-FLOOR SWIMMING POOL DRAIN AND SUMP ASSEMBLY
A swimming pool drain and sump assembly with a toroidal drain housing that includes a lower section with a drain outlet port extending through the lower section wall and a continuous annular channel that loops back upon itself, and an upper section supported upon the sump base only along the inner wall, cantilevered over the sump base from a lower edge of the sump cover to an upper edge of the sump cover. The lower section and the upper section form an annular, continuous, uninterrupted, single orifice drain entrance channel between a top edge of the outer wall and the upper edge of the top piece. Some embodiments include a continuous, one-piece blockage tray insert adjustably positioned within the drain entrance channel and an access port cover within an access port that is a continuous opening with the drain entrance channel.
Pool drain with water diversion features
A pool drain for flush mounting in the surface of a swimming pool includes a central hub and elongated drain ports in fluid communication with the central hub. The elongated drain ports extend radially away from the central hub. The surface material individually surrounds the central hub and elongated drain ports when the pool drain is installed in the surface material. Internal dividers are located between the central hub and the elongated drain ports. The internal dividers are positioned so that they direct fluid away from the central hub, around each of the internal dividers and back toward the central hub. A water stop surrounding the central hub and elongated drain ports anchors the pool drain in the surface and prevents leakage.
Drain for a pool
An inflatable pool is includes a floor drain having a drainage conduit and two sealing plug. The drainage conduit includes a midsection pipe having an oblong cross section, an inlet cap having a truncated profile, and an outlet cap that transitions from the oblong profile of the midsection to a cylindrical profile.
Customizable pool automation control system, and method for customizing pool automation control
A customizable pool automation control system includes a system housing defining a protective enclosure. A processor is located within the housing. A plurality of expansion slots are formed with the housing, and operatively communicate with the processor. A plurality of modular external expansion cards are adapted for being custom selected by a user and inserted into respective expansion slots. The expansion cards are selected from a group consisting of a chlorine generator control, a water level control, a camera control, a valve actuator control, and a relay control.
Low profile circular drain with water stop for swimming pool
A sump drain includes a chamber having an inner sidewall with a diameter of at least about 18 inches and an outer sidewall, and a circular opening between the sidewalls preferably about an inch wide and optionally having a grid cover. Preferably the inner sidewall has ports extending inwardly to radial conduits to a central hub for tying into a pool or spa filtering system, with the central hub operating as a clean out and having a removable cap. Plaster substantially fills the space between the chamber and the central hub, such that the sump drain attractively blends in with the pool or spa floor. When installed, the top opening is preferably substantially flush with the pool or spa floor while being safely unblockable. And the sump drain preferably further includes channels both outboard and inboard from the chamber top opening and around the central hub.
DRAIN PLUG FOR AN ABOVE-GROUND POOL
An improved drain for an above-ground pool is disclosed. A variety of above-ground pool types are considered. Above-ground pools must be drained after use before being stored in a lengthy and time-consuming process. The improved drain can advantageously remain open during the draining process allowing for improved drainage. The drain can comprise a plug member and a locking member. The plug member can be configured to attach to the locking member when open. This and other embodiments are disclosed herein.
SYSTEM FOR VISUAL LIGHT COMMUNICATION AND RELATED METHODS
A visual light communication system is disclosed.
