A wave park for an open or large body of water is disclosed. The wave park includes a body of water, and a track positioned in or proximate the body of water. The wave park further includes at least one foil coupled to move along the track, the at least one foil being at least partially submerged in the body of water. The at least one foil has a curvilinear cross-sectional geometry that includes a leading surface that is concave about a vertical axis to provide drag to generate a primary wave laterally in water of the body of water that contacts the leading surface of the foil, and a trailing surface that narrows from a maximum width of the foil adjacent the leading surface to a point at an end of the foil, the trailing surface to decrease the drag of the foil and to minimize oscillatory waves that trail the primary wave from the water moving past the leading surface of the foil.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR PROVIDING COMMUNICATIONS CAPABILITIES TO EQUIPMENT OF SWIMMING POOLS AND SPAS

Communications capabilities are supplied to components of pool water recirculation systems, even if the components lack electrical power or supply wires. Capabilities may be furnished by wireless RF devices that connect to existing fittings or ports of the components, for example. The devices are configured to obtain desired information relating to the components (or the water within them) and transmit the information remotely for processing or consideration.

SYSTEMS, ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF REDUCING HEAD LOSS IN HEATING DEVICES

A fluid circulation monitoring system includes a distributed processing system having a first processor located on-premises near a space filled with a circulating fluid and a second processor located off-premises. The first processor and the second processor are in communication with one another. A sensor is operatively connected to the first processor and senses at least one parameter associated with a flow rate of fluid through the circulation system. The distributed processing system is configured to process the at least one parameter and derive a volumetric fluid flow rate through a fluid pump which propels the fluid through the circulation system. Pattern recognition is applied to the at least one parameter to detect maintenance events and predict the need for maintenance events.

METHOD OF MONITORING A FLUID LEVEL WITHIN A FLUID VOLUME

A method of monitoring a low water volume of a water circulation system is disclosed that includes detecting an auxiliary measurement associated with an ancillary device fluidly coupled with a reservoir of water in a water circulation system and then determining whether the ancillary device is performing under a low water volume operation. The low water volume operation is based upon a comparison between at least the detected auxiliary measurement of the ancillary device and a condition associated with a performance of the ancillary device under the low water volume operation.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A PUMP HAVING AN ONBOARD USER INTERFACE

A motor controller for a pump motor is provided. The motor controller includes an input device and a memory configured to store a plurality of actuation sequences and a plurality of commands. Each actuation sequence is associated with a command. The motor controller further includes a processor coupled to the input device, the memory, and the pump motor. The processor is configured to detect at the input device, a first actuation sequence in response to the input device being actuated. The processor is further configured to perform a lookup in the memory to determine a first command corresponding to the first actuation sequence. The processor is further configured to operate the pump motor according to the first command.

Safety vacuum release system

Some embodiments of the invention provide a pumping system for at least one aquatic application. The pumping system includes a pump, a motor coupled to the pump, a user interface associated with the pump designed to receive input instructions from a user, and a controller in communication with the motor. The controller determines a power parameter associated with the motor and compares the power parameter to a predetermined threshold value. The controller triggers a safety vacuum release system based on the comparison of the power parameter and the threshold value.

WATER CIRCULATION SYSTEM FOR A POOL AND A POOL
20220268044 · 2022-08-25 ·

A water circulation system for a pool comprises a water outlet assembly mounted to an inner wall of a pool, and in fluid communication with an external pump through a water outlet pipe. The water circulation system also includes an air inlet assembly mounted to the pool a preset distance from the water outlet assembly, and an air outlet assembly attached to the water outlet assembly and in fluid communication with the water outlet assembly. An air inlet passage connects the air inlet assembly to the air outlet assembly, so external air can enter the air inlet assembly and be introduced to the water outlet assembly through the air outlet assembly. Air is introduced to the water outlet by the air outlet when the water outlet assembly is blocked, reducing negative pressure at the water outlet and reducing risk that a portion of a user's body is drawn against or into the water outlet.
