Apparatus for removing a pool deck lid and basket and for collecting a water sample
An apparatus that is utilized with a pool skimming system to remove a deck lid from a skimmer reservoir and a skimmer basket from inside the skimmer reservoir while the user remains in a standing position. The apparatus has an elongated handle and an engaging mechanism. The engaging mechanism, which is at a lower end of the handle, has an inverted U-shaped engaging member with a pair of spaced apart outwardly extending engaging projections that engage slots in the deck lid to remove the deck lid from the skimmer reservoir and then engage a basket handle of the basket to remove the basket from the skimmer reservoir. The apparatus can include an adjusting mechanism to adjust the distance between the engaging projections of the engaging mechanism and/or a sampling mechanism having an integral correct depth indicating mechanism to obtain a water sample from a body of water.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A MULTI-WEIR DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN SKIMMING SYSTEMS THAT USE MULTI-SPEED PUMPS
A multi-weir door assembly is coupled to a skimmer body near a front entrance of the skimmer body such that a flow of water received in the front entrance is incident on a front side of the multi-weir door assembly. The multi-weir door assembly comprises multiple weir doors that are rotationally coupled to the skimmer body by at least a first hinge assembly. Each of the weir doors has a respective buoyancy, and at least first and second weir doors of the multiple weir doors have first and second buoyancies that are different from one another such that the flow of water incident on the multi-weir door assembly affects the first and second weir doors differently in terms of an angular degree to which the incident flow of water causes the first and second weir doors to rotate about first and second axes of rotation, respectively.
Pool skimmer devices, systems, and methods
A pool skimmer device includes a mounting plate configured to attached to a pool skimmer basket, an extension body extending from the mounting plate to a distal end, and a funnel positioned at the distal end of the extension body, the funnel comprising a wide opening positioned at the distal end of the extension body and a narrow opening, and a funnel profile extending between the wide opening and the narrow opening.
SYSTEM FOR VISUAL LIGHT COMMUNICATION AND RELATED METHODS
A visual light communication system is disclosed.
POOL STRAINER BASKET INSECT AND ORGANIC MATTER TRAP
A pool strainer basket insert system and method are contemplated in which a high porosity, coarse fibrous mass is inserted in a pool skimmer basket. Via optimization of the material properties of the fibrous mass and configuration such that approximately 50% of the fibrous mass is located above the waterline and 50% below the water line the problems of the prior art may be solved via the retaining properties of the fibrous mass, enabling insects and small organic matter to be retained and preventing their migration back to the main body of the pool.
MODULAR POOL
A modular swimming pool includes a precast base unit and a precast riser unit that can be assembled at an installation site to define an interior volume in which a human can swim. The precast riser unit is secured to the base unit. The upper surface of the precast base unit and at least one internal surface of the precast riser unit define the interior volume of the modular pool when the precast base unit and the precast riser unit are secured together. A modular swimming pool assembly is also provided. A method of assembling a modular swimming pool is also provided.

Pool and spa water quality control system and method
A water quality management system for a water installation containing water. In some embodiments, the system has a water quality measurement module adapted to monitor the water quality of the water in the water installation and to send water quality information to a controller; and a chemical dispensing module adapted to dispense at least one chemical directly into the water installation in response to signals from the controller based on a water quality measurement by the water quality measurement module, the chemical dispensing module comprising a reservoir adapted to contain the at least one chemical, a movable dispenser adapted and configured to advance a fixed quantity of the chemical out of the reservoir and into the water of the water installation in response to signals from the controller.
Swimming Pool Intake Filter Cover Device
The present invention relates generally to a swimming pool intake filter cover device that is primarily comprised of a generally L-shaped body further comprised of at least one 90-degree elbow, at least one vertical frame member, at least one horizontal frame member, and at least one screen. The body of the device can be placed on a ground surface near a pool and a portion of the body can be placed within the pool in front of the intake filter opening of the skimmer. The portion of the body in front of the filter opening is further comprised of a screen that covers the front and sides of the opening, to prevent debris from entering into the opening. In differing embodiments, the body may be weighted to prevent movement of the body.
SWIMMING POOL STRUCTURE WITH WATER DRAWING, FILTERING AND RECIRCULATING CIRCUIT
The present invention relates to a swimming pool structure having at least one edge zone and a water collection, filtering and recirculation circuit, the latter including at least one well zone (WZ) for falling water, at least one filter mounted in the well zone and designed to intercept the water falling into it.
