A network of modular, multitier pool mobile units, that wander around and under water of a swimming pool. The pool mobile units monitor for safety, emergency and accident related events and undertakes appropriate actions, scrub and clean the swimming pool, emit chemical agents to sanitize the swimming pool water, and may play music. The pool mobile units may simply operate on the pool surface, be fully submersible, or semisubmersible. A central server manages a plurality of multitier pool mobile units in a plurality of swimming pools, supports music download, and provides experience based resources for the multitier pool mobile units. The central server provides experience based resources in the form of safety, emergency and accident supports. The user can configure the parameters of both pool mobile unit and the central server.

A top-bottom pool cleaner is provided including a top housing and a nose attached to the top housing. The top housing including an exterior surface and a top surface having a filter. The nose defines a chamber for receiving and retaining water within the nose. The chamber of the nose receives water through the filter when the cleaner is submerged and retains water within the chamber when the cleaner reaches a top surface of the water from under the water surface, the retention of the water within the nose preventing the pool cleaner from oscillating above and below the top surface of the water.

A method and apparatus for raising a self-propelled pool cleaner from a surface of a pool. The cleaner includes an interior chamber, a lower portion with an inlet and an upper portion with an outlet. Rotatably-mounted supports guide the cleaner along the pool surface. An interior water pump draws water/debris through the inlet, the debris is filtered in the interior chamber, and filtered water exits through the outlet to propel the cleaner during a cleaning operation. A buoy assembly is tethered to the cleaner via a retractable cable. When the cleaner is submerged, the cable is released and the buoy assembly floats on the water surface while tethered to the submerged cleaner. The cleaner can receive a command signal from a controller to exit from the pool, and the cable is retracted to cause the cleaner to rise from the submerged surface of the pool.

A robotic swimming pool tile cleaner having a bottom section, an upper section, a fore side, an opposite aft side, a port side and an opposite starboard side, the bottom section having a propeller housing adapted to house a plurality of thrusters being configured to provide forward thrust to the robotic tile cleaner, assist in turning the robotic tile cleaner in a corner of a swimming pool by providing a turning thrust to move the fore side of the robotic tile cleaner away from a swimming pool wall facing the fore side, and to provide side thrust to push the robotic tile cleaner against a swimming pool tile wall facing the port side, and a plurality of cleaning brushes mounted vertically on the port side of the upper section and being configured to touch the swimming pool tile wall and to move during operation of the robotic tile cleaner.

An underwater cleaning robot, including a main body provided with an accommodating chamber inside, a suction motor, and a roller brush assembly. A bottom of the main body is provided with a suction port. The suction motor is arranged in the chamber, and is configured to generate suction force to draw wastes into the chamber through the suction port. The roller brush assembly includes a roller brush motor arranged in the chamber, a connecting part, and a roller brush. The connecting part is arranged on the main body and is connected to the roller brush motor. The roller brush is detachably clamped with the connecting part. The roller brush motor is configured to drive the connecting part to rotate around an axis of the roller brush motor, so as to drive the roller brush to rotate synchronously to push the waste to the suction port.

A pool cleaner for cleaning a pool, the pool cleaner may include a filtering element for filtering fluid; at least one sensor for sensing an actual yaw of the pool cleaner and an actual orientation of the pool cleaner; at least one steering element that is configured to move the pool cleaner along a cleaning path during a cleaning process of a certain region of a sidewall of the pool; wherein the cleaning path comprises a cleaning path segment that has a cleaning path segment yaw that is a non-vertical yaw; wherein the cleaning path comprises less than a predetermined number of turns; wherein the predetermined number of turns is associated with another cleaning path that mostly includes vertical yaw cleaning path segments; and a controller that is configured to control the at least one steering element, based on the actual yaw of the pool cleaner.

A pool cleaner includes a vent mechanism and a water port in fluid communication with the vent mechanism. When a forward end of the pool cleaner extends above a waterline of the pool, water flows through the vent mechanism and the water port over an inlet port and prevents loss of suction at the inlet port. A protruding member of the pool cleaner contacts submerged obstacle and tilts the pool cleaner to prevent the pool cleaner from becoming stuck on the submerged obstacle.

A universal device for capping and mounting a motor within a motorized pool cleaner housing that allows a moto pump to be installed in different brands of pool cleaners. The universal device has a base and a central through opening. At least two sets of posts extend substantially perpendicular from a surface of the base, each post is adapted to engage the housing of the pool cleaner. The first set of posts extend adjacent an edge of the base to define a first footprint. The second set of posts extend adjacent the first set of posts defining a second footprint smaller than the first footprint.

A pool cleaning vehicle having a suction mouth placed at the belly of a housing. The pool cleaner is placed on two elongate rollers which allow the pool cleaner to move in opposite directions. The suction mouth is positioned between the two elongate rollers to reduce angular displacement when a roller wheel mounts a protrusion on uneven pool bed. A scrubber extends from within the mouth to sweep across the pool bed. The scrubber is pivoted to be able to swing when the pool cleaner changes direction.
