A wire gate operational system providing remote opening and closing of a post and wire gate having a winch and cable assembly with a power source and an operational controller. A remote-control actuator provides long range remote operation to open and close the gate by controlled dropping and raising of the lead wire gate post by the winch. A bottom wire loop between a brace post and the lead wire post acts as a pivot point for the lead gate posts and interconnected directional end cut composite intermediate posts (dancers) allow for controlled wire gate lowering direction allowing ranchers and livestock to pass directly over the lower gate.

A barb tape (10) includes: (i) a first wire(14, 114); (ii) a second wire (16, 116) that is spaced from, and extends substantially parallel to the first wire (14, 114); and (iii) an elongate strip material (12, 112) defining: a spine (18, 118) and a plurality of barbs (22,122) extending from at least one major edge (20) of the spine (18, 118), wherein the spine (18, 118) crimps the first (14, 114) and second (16, 116) wires.

A portable electric fence kit for the erection of a temporary electric fence comprising: a primary fence section which is portable and non-electrified having two or more poles, a secondary fence section having two or more insulated poles secured to the poles of the primary fence section and having the ability to be electrified using a plurality of wires spanning the distance between the insulated poles, a plurality of wires spanning the distance between the insulated poles, system controls operationally associated with the fence sections, a power source operationally associated with the fence sections and the system controls, the power source providing electricity to the secondary fence sections and a coupling means which allows for one section of the fence kit and its wires to be coupled to another section of the fence kit and its wires.

A portable electric fence kit for the erection of a temporary electric fence comprising: a primary fence section which is portable and non-electrified having two or more poles, a secondary fence section having two or more insulated poles secured to the poles of the primary fence section and having the ability to be electrified using a plurality of wires spanning the distance between the insulated poles, a plurality of wires spanning the distance between the insulated poles, system controls operationally associated with the fence sections, a power source operationally associated with the fence sections and the system controls, the power source providing electricity to the secondary fence sections and a coupling means which allows for one section of the fence kit and its wires to be coupled to another section of the fence kit and its wires.

The present invention relates to a metal protective net, including: multiple steel wires arranged in parallel; multiple metal connecting sheets arranged in parallel, where the metal connecting sheets and the steel wires are arranged to intersect with each other at multiple intersections without being connected; insulating members which are provided between the steel wires and the metal connecting sheets and located at the intersections, and fixedly connected therewith; and connecting terminals, where both ends of each steel wire each are connected with one connecting terminal, and both ends of each metal connecting sheet each are connected with one connecting terminal; and a monitoring device electrically connected with the connecting terminals. The steel wires and the metal sheets, which form the metal protective net, are not electrically conductive with each other, forming many individual loops. If the metal net is broken, an alarm can be sent by the monitoring device.

The invention relates to a fence post 100 for electrical fences. The fence post 100 may be formed as a pultrusion and may have the shape of a T. Compared to prior art fence posts, the fence post 100 can reduce problems of excessive electrical conduction and can also reduce problems of splintering. The fence post 100 may have a tapered region 140. The fence post 100 may have a hole-free region. A portion of the fence post 100 may have a colour that contrasts with the remainder of the fence post 100; this can enhance visibility of the fence post 100 in snow.

A multi-purpose rural fence component is disclosed which takes the form of an elongate sleeve having a longitudinal axis. The component can take the form of a coupling tube for joining two elongated tricuspid fence posts end to end, a fence post extender, a fence post, or a dropper. Also disclosed are tricuspid fence posts of Y-shaped configuration having a circular hole closely adjacent its ground engaging tip, V shaped or Y-shaped struts and an agricultural fencing clip.
