Taper-Loc System Improvements
An improved base shoe for use with panel installation and removal systems. The improved base shoe includes dovetail grooves for use with a safety-seal and a weather seal, wherein the safety-seal and weather seal must be installed prior to installing a glass panel. The improved base shoe features a recess for use with taper plates having a continuous projection along an upper surface. The base shoe and taper plates are configured so as to provide a prying surface between the projection on the taper plates and a wall of the base shoe.
ALUMINUM FENCE SYSTEM
The fence system attaches to an aluminum or steel rectangular base post in concrete or the ground. The inside wall of a fence column slides over the base post. The fence column also has an outside wall around the inside wall. Three sides of the fence column has an elongated slot which receives one end of a slat. The fence system also has a gate of the same style as the rest of the fence. A lockset housing replaces one fence column. The lockset's latch projects from the other side. A hollow post has a slot facing the latch when the gate is closed. A latch cover is held by the slot, and an extension of the latch cover extends along the lockset housing to block surreptitious opening the gate. Clips may secure transparent, translucent, or opaque panels from the top, bottom, and sides.
Engineered fence panels and process
A system and methods for manufacturing and constructing a fence panel or pickets using engineered wood products, including, but not limited to, oriented-strand board (OSB), fiber strand, or laminated strand lumber. An entire piece of durable, treated engineered wood panel is divided into multiple “fence blanks” of equal size. Each fence blank is then subjected to edge profiling on top and bottom edges, and top feature milling to create fence top features, with finishing, texture, printing, paper overlay, or combinations thereof, added to one or both faces of the blank. Blanks may be milled in a stack. Blanks may then have grooves or other finishing features added to create a finished fence panel. Alternatively, a fence blank can be slit or cut into multiple raw pickets, also with finishing treatments to one or both faces, to create a series of raw pickets. The resulting finished fence panel or pickets provide the authentic look and appeal of real wood, but with the advantages of treated engineered wood.
Shaped fence
An infill fence panel having a body which made from a mesh material and which has a first edge and a second edge opposing the first edge. The second edge forms an included acute angle with the first edge such that the body, from one side, has a wedge shape. The first edge is located on, and is fixed to, an upper edge of a primary panel which is of rectangular form and made from a mesh material.
Channeled fence post for building horizontal fence, method of creating horizontal fence and method for manufacture of fence post
A channeled fence post system and method is provided for building horizontal fencing. 2 J-channeled metal posts are attached back to back and provide holes through which boards can be mounted horizontally with the mounting connectors hidden from the front face of the fence.
SECONDARY CONTAINMENT
This patent pertains to secondary containment systems. One implementation includes a support assembly that includes an elongate post member and a stabilization plate. In one instance, a stabilization plate is mounted on the elongate post member to reduce movement of the elongate post member when the stabilization plate is embedded in the ground. Another implementation includes a panel splice assembly including reinforcing members that secure overlapping, corrugated panels.
Fencing assembly
A fencing assembly includes a top cross-member having a first channel, a bottom cross-member having a second channel, a first vertical support member, a second vertical support member, and a planar barrier. The first vertical support member is connected to a first end of the top cross-member and a first end of the bottom cross-member and the second vertical support member is connected to a second end of the top cross-member and a second end of the bottom cross-member. The planar barrier is inserted into the first channel and the second channel and is confined on a first and second side of the planar barrier by the first vertical support member and the second vertical support member.
Snap fit posts for fence panels balustrades and the like
A post for a fit together panel comprising at least one said post and at least one slat, the post comprising a base member and a cover member, the cover member comprising a pair of sidewalls and an interconnecting end wall, the interconnecting end wall containing a plurality of openings through which the end of a slat can pass, the sidewalls adapted for extension over the channel member, the base member comprising a base wall and opposed sidewalls, at least one sidewall comprising a clamping leg adapted for clamping engagement against the end of a said slat passing through a said opening in the cover member, and snap fitting means on the channel member and/or the cover member to enable the channel member and the cover member to be snap fitted together.
Modular Privacy and Sound Barrier Fence System
A privacy and sound barrier fence system and apparatus is disclosed. The fence is erected with interlocking horizontal or vertical panels which are held in place by posts at the ends of the boards. The boards are equipped with a tongue and groove system, configured to enable the boards to interlock, forming a solid wall segment. Each segment, referred to as a module, may be connected at a 90 degree angle, to permit a turn in the fence. Adjustable mounting points on the posts allow for the modules to be disposed in a step orientation or at a slope for non-level terrain. The boards ensure that the erected fence remains aesthetically pleasing from both the front and rear of the fence. The fence system does not employ any structural rain reinforcement connecting the posts, and is capable of withstanding hurricane-strength winds.
