Motor gear drive release

Mechanically or electromechanically positioning a deadbolt used to lock or unlock a door is disclosed. An electromechanical lock can include a deadbolt to be positioned to lock or unlock a door. The deadbolt can be mechanically positioned based on the rotation of a paddle of the electromechanical lock or electromechanically positioned via a motor being turned on to position the deadbolt. A disengagement mechanism can disengage an engagement cog from a worm gear hub of a gear train of the motor upon the mechanical positioning, but remain engaged upon the electromechanical positioning.

SLAM LATCH FOR TOOL BOX

A slam type locking mechanism is described. The locking mechanism allows a storage container with the locking mechanism to be slammed shut in a single motion. The operator may slam the lid or door to the container using a single hand that is only pressing or pushing the lid or door closed. The slam type locking mechanism includes a lock having a lock housing, a handle, and a spring loading mechanism. The handle is rotatably engaged to the spring loading mechanism. The rods are in a rotational engagement with the lock, wherein the rods have an offset that interacts with a striker on the container or lid in a locking relationship.

Vehicle Mounted Animal Enclosure with Unique Door Control Mechanisms
20170020106 · 2017-01-26 ·

A portable enclosure for capturing and retaining an animal features a pen carried alongside an ATV, a front opening in the pen, and at least one door movable between open and closed positions at the front opening. A lock member is carried above the front opening, and is displaceable into and out of a locking position engaging the door. A rotatable actuation member resides overhead of the lock member and is operable by a foot pedal to draw the at least one lock member upwardly out of the locking position to unlock the door. The same lock member acts in both the open and closed positions of the door by way of cooperation with strike plates on the door panel and an extension member projecting therefrom. The strike plates are shaped to return the lock member to a ready state for automatic locking during opening and closing of the door.

Door Locking System

A door locking system includes a first locking assembly and a second locking assembly. The first and second locking assemblies each have a locking actuator mounted on a door and a catch plate mounted on a door frame. Each of the locking actuators includes a lever and a locking plate, such that, in response to rotating the lever from an open position to a close position, the locking plate rotates from an unlocked position to a locked position, respectively, in which the locking plate is inserted into a groove of the corresponding catch plate when the locking plate is in its locked position.
