Tamper-resistant lock
A locking system includes a tamper-resistant lock and key. The tamper-resistant lock includes a cylindrical lock body with external threading on at least a portion thereof and a bore extending into an end of the cylindrical lock body. The bore includes an engagement feature disposed on the wall that defines the bore, and the engagement feature is disposed a particular distance away from the bore opening. The key includes a collar that has a cylindrical key body that fits within the bore of the cylindrical lock body. The cylindrical key body also includes an opening defined by the collar sidewall, a retractable engagement member at least partially disposed within the opening, a spring disposed within the collar, and a plunger disposed within the collar that is operable to engage the spring and has a recess sized and shaped to accommodate the retractable engagement member.
Safety Switch
A safety switch (2) with a latching unit (12), by means of which an associated actuator (3) is held in a latched position. The latching unit (12) has an arrangement of latching jaws (14). Each latching jaw (14) is spring-mounted by means of a spring unit (15). The latching jaws (14) are concentrically arranged and each face one another with a first free end and delimit an insertion opening (A). The latching jaws (14) are held in latched position by the spring forces generated by the spring units (15). The latching jaws (14) can be displaced against the spring forces of the spring unit (15), which serves to enlarge the insertion opening (A).
SLIDING DOOR UNIT AND COMPONENTS FOR THE SAME
A sliding door unit has a mounting frame and an active door panel mounted in and capable of sliding relative to the mounting frame. The active door panel has a face including a panel portion and a glazing portion. The glazing portion comprises less than 65% of a surface area of the face.
STRIKER FOR A WINDOW OR DOOR
Disclosed is a striker for a window or door with a locking system with a striker and locking cam to lock it, which striker is intended to be able to make contact with a contact zone by way of the locking cam. The striker is composed of a foot and a head, whereby the foot in a mounted condition of the striker fits in several different positions between the flanks of the fitting groove, whereby the different positions differ from each other by a rotation of the striker around a geometric axis through a centre point of the foot, and whereby the head possesses at least two different the contact zones the distance of which is different to the geometric axis through the centre point of the foot and/or the thickness is different.
LATCH MECHANISM WITH ENGAGEMENT INDICIA
A door latch slide for engagement with a strike plate in a doorjamb. The door latch slide comprises a latch slide body engageable with an actuator device mounted on the door for moving the latch slide toward and away from the strike plate, the latch slide body being adjustable with respect to the door to adjust extension distance toward the strike plate. A latchbolt extends from the latch slide body and has a non-flat sweep side for contacting an outside of the strike plate to cause retraction of the latchbolt away from the strike plate as the door is closing and an opposite flat face for contacting an inside of an opening in a face of the strike plate to prevent the door from opening when the latchbolt is extended toward and into the strike plate opening. The latchbolt has a pair of indicia on at least one side thereof, one of the indicia indicating a minimum desired distance for extension of the latchbolt into the strike plate opening and the other of the indicia indicating a maximum desired distance for extension. The latch slide may be adjusted during installation of the actuator device by visually extending the latchbolt into the strike plate opening, moving the latch slide body toward or away from the strike plate until the strike plate face is between the pair of indicia on the latchbolt, and setting the latch slide body with respect to the actuator device so that the latchbolt when extended maintains the strike plate face between the pair of indicia on the latchbolt.
Adjustable Striker Plate
This invention relates to improvements in locks and latches, particularly improving the strike plate, allowing horizontal and vertical adjustments to compensate for changes in the positioning of the strike plate relative to the heel of the latch bolt when the door is seated against the stop. The invention relates to an adjustable strike plate for locks, latches, and deadbolts, enables quick adjustment of a strike plate, and ensures holding the plate securely in an adjusted position. The invention is an apparatus made of three plates with two different sets of screws, one for securing the apparatus to a door jamb and another for adjusting and aligning the striker plate to a latch and/or deadbolt.
Strike assembly
Disclosed is a strike assembly comprising a strike plate, a back plate and a thermal bar. The thermal bar can be situated between the strike plate and the back plate. The thermal bar can have a resistivity greater than the resistivity of the strike plate. Also disclosed is a strike assembly comprising a strike plate and a thermal bar. The strike plate can define a circular hole and can comprise a protruding sleeve extending from the strike plate. The strike plate can define an elongated slot. The thermal bar can define a first elongated slot and a second elongated slot. The circular hole of the strike plate can be axially in-line with the first elongated slot of the thermal bar. The protruding sleeve of the strike plate can be situated in the second elongated slot of the thermal bar.
