CUSHIONED CARABINER CLIP
20200116192 · 2020-04-16 ·

The present invention relates to an improved carabiner system, including an impact-dampening cushion around the external surface of the frame for cushioning damage during a fall or collision and to reduce sound from loose or swinging carabiner collisions. Additional surface routing and through holes provide improved register between the carabiner frame and the over-molded cushion layer.

Lock Assembly

A lock assembly including a lock mechanism, a guide, a strike plate and an alignment track. The lock mechanism includes a lock bolt transitionable between an unlocked orientation and a locked orientation. The guide is carried by the lock bolt and travels along a path that is both parallel and perpendicular to the strike plate as the lock bolt transitions between the unlocked orientation and locked orientation. The strike plate includes a strike plate opening through which the lock bolt passes when transitioning from the unlocked orientation to the locked orientation. The alignment track engages the guide for laterally aligning the lock bolt within the strike plate opening in a direction generally orthogonal to a plane in which the lock bolt travels when transitioning from the unlocked orientation to the locked orientation. Methods of operation and door assemblies including the lock assembly are provided.

Detachable accessory and latch for same

A detachable accessory for a saddle-ride vehicle includes a latching assembly supported on a side plate and having a latch member and handle. The latch member has a hooked latching portion and an elongated portion. The latch member is supported at a fixed pivot on the side plate for rotation between unlatched and latched positions. The handle is supported on the elongated portion and is biased in a first direction so that an end portion of the handle follows the rear edge of the side plate and forms a detent mechanism including a male detent member, a first receptacle to receive the male member to hold the latch member in the unlatched position and a second receptacle to receive the male member to hold the latch member in the latched position. The first receptacle is shallower than the second. A cam surface extends from the first receptacle to the second.

Door assemblies for appliances

An appliance defining a vertical direction includes a door, a catch, and a door assembly. The door defines a cavity accessible through an opening. The catch may be spaced apart from the door along the vertical direction. The door assembly may include a latch assembly and a trigger. The latch assembly may include a latch movable along the vertical direction. The trigger may be coupled to the latch assembly. In addition, the trigger may be movable between a first position and a second position. When the trigger is in the first position, the latch may engage the catch. In contrast, when the trigger is in the second position, the latch may be spaced apart from the catch along the vertical direction.

Push pad exit device for emergency door egress and vertical latch bolt assembly

A push pad exit device comprising a horizontal push bar actuator mechanically linked to a vertical door handle assembly for use on the interior side of entrance doors where a means of emergency egress is desired, is presented. The operating mechanisms of the push bar actuator and vertical door handle assembly are concealed presenting a smooth uncluttered appearance. The push pad exit device further including an improved roller latch bolt. The improved roller latch bolt allows for a roller to make contact with a ramp surface of a corresponding strike plate on a sweep side of the plate and allows for the roller support to make contact with the strike plate on a latch side of the plate.
