DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH SELF ADJUSTING SPINDLES
A door lock system that adjusts to doors of different thicknesses. The door lock system may include self-adjusting spindles that engage and center a lock body in a door. The spindles may exert equal and opposing forces that center the lock body within the door and align the lock body with a latch.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO POWER A LOCKBOX
A lock box includes: a chassis; a lower housing solenoid attached to the chassis; a removable lower housing removably connected to the chassis through the lower housing solenoid; and a battery holder configured to removably secure a primary battery within the battery holder, such that the primary battery is configured to move with the removable lower housing, the primary battery being configured to provide electricity to the lower housing solenoid.
DOOR ASSEMBLY HAVING RECHARGEABLE BATTERY, METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR CHARGING THE BATTERY
The present invention relates to exterior or interior doors for residential or commercial buildings, such as for a home, apartment, condominium, hotel room or business, and, more particularly, to a door provided with a rechargeable battery as a source of electrical power that may be used to operate electric devices mounted to the door. The door has electric devices attached thereto. The electric devices which. are powered by one or more rechargeable batteries that are charged by one or more energy harvester systems and/or by direct connection to a power source. A system for distributing the power collected from the energy harvester system and/or the wired connection are also provided.
SECURE ENCLOSURE EMERGENCY ACCESS MECHANISM
A access control system includes a catch configured to be affixed to an inner portion of an enclosure, a latch configured to engage the catch when the catch is attached to the enclosure and an access door of the enclosure is in a closed position. The access control system is configured to detect, using one or more sensors, when the latch is within a predetermined proximity of the catch, and responsive to detecting that the latch is not within the predetermined proximity of the catch, determine whether an authorized credential was received via a communication interface to open the latch, and when the authorized credential was received, register an authorized opening of the latch in a memory device, and when the authorized credential was not received, register an the unauthorized opening of the latch in the memory device and enter an alert state.
LOCK WITH SERVICEABLE KEYPAD
An attachment system for a locking system mounted to a closure is provided. A baseplate is fastenable to a mounting surface of the closure, the baseplate including at least one circumferential cutout having an engagement feature, and a locking feature on a surface of the baseplate. A housing has at least one protrusion insertable into the at least one circumferential cutout and is rotatably engageable with the engagement feature to selectively prevent the housing from being withdrawn from the baseplate in a direction normal to the mounting surface. A locking device is disposed inside the housing and is accessible from outside the housing through a cutout defined in at least one of the housing and the baseplate, the locking device operable to rotatably lock and unlock the housing to the baseplate.
DEADBOLT CONTROL AND SECURITY SYSTEMS
A deadbolt control and security system for preventing rotation of a deadbolt manual egress handle of a deadbolt lock is described herein. The system preferably includes a deadbolt interface unit and at least one actuator unit. The deadbolt interface unit has a manual mode (the deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle controlling locking and unlocking the deadbolt lock) and a remote mode (the at least one actuator unit controlling locking and unlocking the deadbolt lock). The deadbolt interface unit includes: a deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle; a gear train having a shaft coordinated with the deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle; a unit-handle coupler that interfaces between the deadbolt manual egress handle and the deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle via the shaft; and a clutch. Preferred systems prevent the deadbolt lock from being unlocked using keys and/or other bypass tools.
Modular electronic deadbolt systems
A modular electronic deadbolt includes a bolt module having a first housing defining a first longitudinal axis, a motor disposed in the first housing, and a deadbolt configured to be linearly moveable in relation to the first housing along the first longitudinal axis by the motor. The modular electronic deadbolt also includes a battery module configured to be operatively coupled to the bolt module. The battery module includes a second housing configured to receive a power source, and a face plate coupled to the second housing. The faceplate defines a second longitudinal axis and includes an extension that extends along the second longitudinal axis. The extension is configured to removably couple the bolt module to the battery module such that the first longitudinal axis is substantially orthogonal to the second longitudinal axis.
Reusable, secure shipping package
Disclosed herein is a shipping container that includes numerous multi-factor authentication (MFA) tie ins to provide added security to the container. In some embodiments, the shipping container is associated with a mobile user profiles within a mobile application. A retailer makes a sale, then, using a mobile application, associates the container with the destination address and the MFA details associated with the buyer's mobile application account. Once the container is loaded up, the container will not open again except for the buyer using the buyer's MFA authentication credentials.
Door Strike Plate Sensor
A door position detector including a strike plate mounted onto a door frame. The strike plate includes a back face that opposes the door frame and a front face disposed on an opposite side of the strike plate than the back face and opposing an edge of a door when the door is in a closed position. The door position detector further including a door position sensor integrated with the strike plate, the door position sensor configured to detect a state of the door.
Door lock bolt plate pivot system, and associated structures and methods
Disclosed are embodiments of a tapered bolt receiver for a door lock to accommodate misalignment, between a deadbolt mounted to a door, and an opposing jamb. The tapered bolt receiver can be configured to accommodate misalignment for a deadbolt having a non-tapered bolt, such as for an electromechanical smart lock having a battery stored within a battery compartment that is integrated with an enhanced bolt. Also disclosed are embodiments of a deadbolt plate pivot assembly that is pivotably mountable to a corresponding deadbolt assembly to define a plate pivot system, to accommodate a beveled door edge. An illustrative embodiment of the deadbolt plate pivot assembly includes opposing plate that captures a hinge assembly, which can include plastic plate hinges, which serve to locate the deadbolt plate pivot assembly with respect to a corresponding bolt housing, and can provide a spring force and/or constant torque when mounted to a beveled door.
