MOTOR CONTROL FOR POWERED CLOSURE WITH ANTI-PINCH
A controller system is provided for a motorized moveable striker assembly on a vehicle door or window. The assembly includes a striker on the door post which is moveable by an electric motor between extended and retracted positions. A latch on the door releasably engages the striker. Switches in the latch sends signals to the controller to actuate the motor. After the latch is engaged, the controller retracts the striker from the extended position to fully close the door. When the latch is disengaged from the striker, the latch switch sends a signal to controller to actuate the motor so as to extend the striker from the retracted position to the extended position as to prepare for the next door closing. Anti-pinching control and temperature compensation is also provided.
LOCK ACTUATION DEVICE HAVING AN EMERGENCY OPENING FUNCTION
A device and a method for opening and closing a motor vehicle door having a door lock. The device includes an electric opening actuator and an electric closing actuator, by means of which the door lock can be brought from a pre-locking position into a final-locking position. A control device controls the opening and closing actuators. The control device, in the event of a door opening request during operation of the closing actuator, first switches the closing actuator into a reversing mode, in which the door lock can be moved again in the opening direction and the opening actuator is triggered after a predetermined period of time.
Method for closing a motor vehicle hood
The problem addressed by the invention is to devise a method for closing a motor vehicle hood which makes it possible to minimize a gap between the hood and the vehicle body. This should in particular make it possible to keep the risk of injuries low. In order to solve said problem, the hood is closed as follows by means of a hood closing device comprising a locking bolt (35) and a locking mechanism consisting of a rotary latch (1) and a pawl (7): the open hood is moved in the direction of the closed position; this movement of the hood causes the locking bolt (35) to pivot the rotary latch (1) about its pin (4) in the direction of the latched position until the rotary latch (1) hits a breakthrough preventing contraption, in particular a catching lever (11), whereupon the hood or the rotary latch along with the hood is moved using a drive unit (19), in particular an electric drive unit, in such a way that the gap between the hood and the motor vehicle body is reduced; following this movement caused by the drive unit, the rotary latch (1) is locked by the pawl (7).
MOTOR VEHICLE CLOSURE PANEL WITH ANTI-PINCH SHIELD AND ANTI-PINCH SHIELD FOR CLOSURE PANELS
An anti-pinch shield for a motor vehicle having a front passenger swing door a rear passenger swing door includes a body having a mount surface configured for attachment to at least one of a B-pillar of the motor vehicle, between a trailing rear edge of the front passenger swing door and a leading front edge of a rear passenger swing door, and an A-pillar of the motor vehicle, between the leading front edge of the front passenger swing door and an adjacent front vehicle panel. The body has a non-planar surface facing opposite said mount surface. The non-planar surface has a contour that matches the arc of travel of a respective one of the leading front edge of the rear passenger swing door and the leading front edge of the front passenger swing door.
Door closer device for vehicle
A door closer device for a vehicle includes a latch, a drive force transmission mechanism and a cancellation mechanism cancelling a closing operation of the drive force transmission mechanism. The drive force transmission mechanism includes a drive force transmission portion rotatable between a transmission position where the latch is configured to receive a drive force of an actuator and a non-transmission position where the latch is configured not to receive the drive force of the actuator. The cancellation mechanism includes a first operation portion and a second operation portion, the first operation portion engaged with the drive force transmission portion to be rotated irrespective of the second operation portion, the second operation portion engaged with the drive force transmission portion to be rotated irrespective of the first operation portion, the first and second operation portions rotating the drive force transmission portion from the transmission position to the non-transmission position.
Method for controlling a closing process of a vehicle wing and corresponding vehicle closing system
A method for controlling a closing process of a vehicle wing moving from a known start position into an end position representing as closed, position of the vehicle wing and a corresponding closing system for performing the method, When the start position is reached, the closing process of the vehicle wing is started for a prescribed short first time period, and then interrupted for a prescribed second time period in order to warn users or third parties of the imminent closing process of the vehicle wing.
LOCK WITH ASSISTED CLOSING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A lock for a motor vehicle, comprising a locking mechanism composed of a rotary latch and at least one pawl, an assisted closing device, an electric drive, and a torque converter, wherein a variable torque is adjustable in the assisted closing device by means of the torque converter, and wherein the assisted closing is achieved at least in some regions by means of a frictional connection.
OPENING AND CLOSING SYSTEM
An opening and closing system includes a first human detection sensor configured to detect a vehicle user who enters a first area defined on a periphery of a vehicle body, a lamp visible by the vehicle user who enters the first area, and a control device configured to control an unlocking operation of the lock device, a closing operation of the striker device, a pop-up operation of the striker device, and switching on and off of the lamp. The control device switches on the lamp when the vehicle user is detected by the first human detection sensor and starts the controlling of the unlocking operation of the lock device and the closing operation and the pop-up operation of the striker device in response to the lamp being switched on.
DOOR DRIVE SYSTEM
A door drive assembly including: a drive arm including a first end configured to be rotatably coupled to the body and a second end configured to be rotatably coupled to the door. The door drive assembly also includes a drive mechanism coupled to the drive arm and configured to rotate the drive arm between an open position and a closed position. The door drive assembly also includes a control arm including a first end configured to be rotatably coupled to a vehicle body and a second end configured to be rotatably coupled to the door. The door drive assembly also includes a race configured to be disposed between the body and the first end of the control arm where the first end of control arm is configured to translate by a first distance along the race as the drive arm rotates between the open and closed positions.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK
A motor vehicle lock has a pawl and a catch that may be moved into an open position, a preliminary latching position and a main latching position. In one of the latching positions, the catch is or may be brought into holding engagement with a lock striker. In the installed state, during a cinching routine, the catch is moved into its main latching position by a cinching drive. A spring biased freewheel mechanism, which is limited to a freewheel distance, is provided between the cinching drive and the catch. With the reaction force of the catch exceeding a predefined level, the cinching drive freewheels with respect to the catch against the spring bias of the freewheel mechanism, until the freewheel distance is reached and the freewheel mechanism is interlocked for force transmission.
