DOOR LATCH APPARATUS FOR DOOR FOR VEHICLE

A door latch apparatus that is mounted on a vehicle door and that achieves at low cost a structure that is for ensuring operational reliability of an open lever. The door latch apparatus includes a cap formed by resin material and including a cylindrical shape, the cap being arranged in an inserted manner at an attachment shaft extended in a form of a shaft in a predetermined direction, an elastic spring member that elastically biases a pawl from a non restriction position towards a restriction position, and a coming-off prevention mechanism that, by making part of the elastic spring member to engage with the cap, prevents the cap from coming off from the attachment shaft.

ELECTRIC LOCKING MECHANISM OF A DOOR LEAF COMPRISING A MECHANICAL BACKUP FUNCTION

A locking mechanism of a door leaf of a motor vehicle includes a latch, an electric actuator, and a transmission arrangement. The latch includes a pawl and a bolt configured to cooperate in such a manner to allow the locking or unlocking of the door leaf. The transmission arrangement is configured to transmit a movement of the electric actuator to the bolt in order to displace the bolt of the latch between an unlocking position in which the bolt is released from the pawl and a locking position in which the bolt is blocked by the pawl. The transmission arrangement includes a downstream transmission member configured to transmit a movement to the bolt, an upstream transmission member configured to transmit a movement of the actuator to the downstream transmission member; and a blocking member movable relative to the downstream transmission member and/or the upstream transmission member.

Securing device with a front hood and a bayonet-type closure system

The invention relates to a securing device (1), which has a front hood (2) and a hood lock (3) with a lock holder (10), for a motor vehicle. The hood lock (3) has a rotary latch (4) with a pre-latching position and a main latching position in which the front hood (2) is closed and locked, an electric drive (5) which switches the rotary latch (4) from the main latching position into the pre-latching position, and a bayonet-type closure system (13) with a closed position, a release position, and an intermediate position. In the closed position, the rotary latch (4) is located in the main latching position; in the intermediate position, the rotary latch (4) is located in the pre-latching position and the lock holder (10) is engaged with the rotary latch (4); and in the release position, the lock holder (10) is released by the rotary latch (4) and the front hood (2) is unlocked.

CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY EQUIPPED WITH SINGLE RATCHET/PAWL LATCH MECHANISM AND A POWER LATCH RELEASE MECHANISM WITH A DUAL-STAGE GEAR TRAIN
20210372169 · 2021-12-02 ·

A latch assembly for a closure panel of a vehicle includes a power release actuator, a pawl, a ratchet, and a multi-stage geartrain. The multi-stage geartrain includes a first compound gear and a second sector gear in meshed engagement with the compound gear. The sector gear includes an arm extending radially therefrom. In a rest position, a gap is defined between the arm and a cam surface of a pawl. Actuation of the power release actuator actuates the multi-stage geartrain and pivots the arm through the gap and into contact with the pawl. During pivoting through the gap, inertia is increased and the arm contacts the pawl with an impulse force. Continued rotation of the arm causes further rotation of the pawl and release of the ratchet. The arm is disposed within an axial height defined by the multi-stage geartrain, and torque applied to the arm increases during rotation.
