RAILROAD CONTAINER LOCKING BAR AND METHOD OF USE
20230313572 · 2023-10-05 ·

The locking bar is magnetically attached to a container having a door which swings to a closed position to prevent access to the container. The locking bar includes a base and a blocking part extending from the base. The blocking part is located to prevent movement of the door from the closed position when the container is situated on the base. The weight of the container on the base prevents the locking bar from being removed from the container. Protrusions extending from the top of the base and from the bottom of the base further secure the locking bar from removal. A second blocking part may extend in a direction opposite the first locking bar for securing doors on stacked containers.

DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR FREIGHT CONTAINER
20230279706 · 2023-09-07 ·

The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod is mounted to the door of the freight container, where the locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.

Bar lock assembly

A bar lock assembly including a lock rod having first and second lock rod portions and defines a rotational axis. A second lock rod portion section telescopically extends from the first lock rod portion when the bar lock assembly is in a first condition. The second lock rod portion is substantially retracted within the first lock rod portion when the bar lock assembly is in a second condition. An elongated handle having opposed ends extends from the first lock rod portion. One handle end is pivotally connected to the first lock rod about a fixed axis. Linkage between the handle and the second lock rod portion telescopically moves the second lock rod portion. This lock bar assembly is configured such that an angle of about 45° is established between the handle and a generally horizontal plane when in the first position to enhance ergonomic operation of the bar lock assembly.

Door locking assembly

A trailer locking assembly for locking a door of a trailer includes a lock rod pivoting about its axis of elongation within an upper and a lower bracket. A top and bottom cam attach to the top and bottom of the lock rod, respectively, and the top and bottom cams are configured to engage with corresponding keepers. A handle attached to the bottom cam beneath the door is configured to engage with a first latch assembly. The latch assembly may be configured to be released from an interior of the trailer. The first latch assembly may be attached to the lower bracket. The locking assembly may have a second latch assembly for holding the door open.

Door closure

Disclosed is a closure for a door of a shipping container. The closure includes a housing, an outside handle pivotally mounted relative to the housing, an inside handle pivotally mounted relative to the housing, and a catch connected to the inside handle. The closure is configured so that movement of the inside handle between a first position and a second position causes corresponding movement of the catch. A locking mechanism can releasably fix the inside handle relative to the outside handle, such that when in a locked position rotation of the outside handle causes corresponding rotation of the inside handle and when in an unlocked position the inside handle can be rotated independently of the outside handle.
