A vehicle front end assembly includes a grille, a front end module, an upper grille panel and a bell crank assembly. The front end module has a radiator positioned rearwardly with respect to the grille. The upper grille panel extends rearwardly with respect to the grille and overlies the front end module. The upper grille panel has a bell crank access area. The bell crank assembly is positioned in the bell crank access area of the upper grille panel. The bell crank assembly has a bell crank that is movable with respect to the upper grille panel. The bell crank assembly further has an airflow barrier that is fixedly supported with respect to the bell crank assembly. The airflow barrier has a front wall that is positioned forward of the bell crank to deflect air flow received through the grille.

Hood release lever cover assembly for a vehicle

A release lever cover assembly for a vehicle includes a bracket assembly, a first release lever, and a release lever cover. The bracket assembly is configured to be connected to a vehicle body structure of the vehicle. The first release lever is pivotally connected to the bracket assembly. The first release lever is movable between a first position and a second position in which a vehicle component is released. The release lever cover is slidably connected to the bracket assembly. The release lever cover is movable between a first position preventing movement of the first release lever and a second position allowing movement of the first release lever.

Vehicle lock device

A vehicle lock device includes a base including an entry groove for entry of a striker, a latch that pivots between a restraining position to restrain the striker and a release position to release the striker and also to allow entry of the striker, a locking lever engaging the latch and holding the latch in the restraining position, and a torsion spring that presses the striker rearward in an entry direction when a first arm portion comes into contact with the striker, and that applies an elastic force to the latch toward the release position when the first arm portion engages the latch. The first arm portion of the torsion spring is disengaged from the latch when the first arm portion is pushed down in the entry direction by the striker.

HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT THAT INCLUDES TURN SIGNAL FUNCTIONALITY
20190225141 · 2019-07-25 ·

A replacement hood latching mechanism for components with no turn signal functionality or noncompliant turn signal functionality, enabling such retrofitted vehicles to be compliant. The present invention includes a mechanically movable latch portion providing a visual output device that can be electrically connected to the pre-existing turn signal of the vehicle, thereby providing a more exterior (turn signal functionality along the vehicle if the vehicle originally provided a more interior positioned pre-existing turn signal. Combining the movable latch portion with the pre-existing latch components further enhances the utility and aesthetics of the present invention.

WIRELESSLY CONTROLLED VEHICLE HOOD LATCH LOCK SYSTEM
20190211590 · 2019-07-11 · ·

A wirelessly-controlled vehicle hood latch lock system which can be operated by a control device. The system includes latch control module cable installed in place of the factory hood latch release cable to control the hood release action conditional upon control signals from the control device. A latch control switch sends signals to the wireless latch control module when the factory hood latch release lever is operated. The wireless latch control module allows the transfer of movement from the factory cable to the module cable only upon receipt of an enable signal. In an alternate embodiment, a latch lock motor moves a cable jam block to lock or unlock a moveable pulley and an internal pull cable output bracket. Depending upon the position of the jam block, pulling the latch release lever will either open the hood latch or the movement of the factory cable will not be transferred to the module cable.

Work vehicle

A work vehicle includes an openable and closable bonnet that covers an engine and is rockable with respect to a body frame, a pin that is provided on the body frame side, and a lock that is provided on the bonnet side and is switchable between a locked state in which the bonnet is locked by the lock engaging with the pin and an unlocked state in which the bonnet is not locked by the lock not engaging with the pin.

Vehicle hood lever assembly

A vehicle hood lever assembly has a latch mechanism, a latch lever and a striker structure. The latch mechanism has a latching member movable between a hood locking orientation and a hood unlocking orientation. The latch lever attaches to the latch mechanism at a location spaced apart from the latching member movable between a hood catching orientation and a hood release orientation. The striker structure has a main striker member and a secondary striker member. With the striker structure moving toward the latch mechanism, a surface of the secondary striker member contacts a portion of the latch lever moving the latch lever from the hood release orientation to the hood catching orientation. In response to continued movement of the striker structure toward the latch mechanism, the main striker member engages the latching member and is restrained against further movement with the latching member being moved into the hood locking orientation.

Dual unlocking hood latch system

A dual unlocking hood latch system allows a user to open a hood of the automobile vehicle while staying in the vehicle. The dual unlocking hood latch system includes a base fixed to a main body. The base includes a moving groove portion to guide the movement of a striker. A latch gear, which includes a plurality of locking portions, is pivotably attached to a front side of the base to retain the striker when the striker is entered through the moving groove portion to a locking position. A pawl, pivotably attached to the base, controls the movement of the latch gear by transmitting rotational motion when in contact. And a stopper portion, pivotably attached to the base, is elastically biased to move toward the pawl such that the stopper portion is pushed by the pawl to restrain pivoting movement of the latch gear.

LATCH WITH ADJUSTABLE PRIMARY/FINAL POSITION
20190119959 · 2019-04-25 ·

A latch having an adjustable primary/final position includes mounting plate with a plurality of mounting holes or mounting locations to which a primary pawl can be selectively attached. The latch also includes a latch cam that is rotatable between an open position and a primary, fully engaged position. When in the primary, fully engaged position, the latch cam secures a striker within a receiving slot of the mounting plate. The position of the striker within the receiving slot when the latch cam is in the fully engaged position can be adjusted by selectively attaching the primary pawl to a different one of the plurality of mounting holes or mounting locations.
