SIDE LATCH EXIT DEVICE
An exit device for a door includes an actuator, a first rod, a second rod, a transom latch, and a side latch having a hook latch head. The side latch may be a mortise latch which may include a plurality of grooves for alignment during installation. When installed in an associated door, the exit device may withstand multiple impacts from windborne objects or pressures induced by high winds.
Lock Assembly
A lock assembly including a lock mechanism, a guide, a strike plate and an alignment track. The lock mechanism includes a lock bolt transitionable between an unlocked orientation and a locked orientation. The guide is carried by the lock bolt and travels along a path that is both parallel and perpendicular to the strike plate as the lock bolt transitions between the unlocked orientation and locked orientation. The strike plate includes a strike plate opening through which the lock bolt passes when transitioning from the unlocked orientation to the locked orientation. The alignment track engages the guide for laterally aligning the lock bolt within the strike plate opening in a direction generally orthogonal to a plane in which the lock bolt travels when transitioning from the unlocked orientation to the locked orientation. Methods of operation and door assemblies including the lock assembly are provided.
Latch assembly for a mine door and a mine door having such an assembly
A latch assembly for a door having a door body mounted on a door frame includes a retainer movable between a latching position and a non-latching position and configured, in the latching position, to retain the door body in a closed position, and to permit the door body to move with respect to the door frame in the non-latching position to an open position. An actuator is selectively moveable to change the retainer from the latching position to a non-latching position. A linkage is configured to move the retainer in a latching direction toward the latching position and in an unlatching direction toward the non-latching position responsive to actuation of the actuator. A crank is operatively connected to the actuator and linkage and configured to move the retainer toward the latching position as the retainer approaches the latching position.
Electromagnetic door opener
The invention relates to an electromagnetic door opener comprising a housing for installing in a door frame, a pivotable cover which can be rotated between an open position and a closed position, and a security device operating counter to a forced rotation of the cover from the closed position into the open position, which comprises a primary security step and a secondary security step. Said door opener is characterized in that the secondary security step comprises a locking element which is supported in a form fit on the base of the housing of the door opener housing.
Door lock device
A door lock device is provided and includes: a lock assembly having a first lock structure and a second lock structure; an acting assembly interlocked with the first lock structure and the second lock structure; and an operation assembly interlocked with the acting assembly so as to unlock the first lock structure and the second lock structure synchronously. Therefore, when the lock assembly is in the form of top and bottom locks, the top and bottom locks can be unlocked at the same time, so as to allow an escape door to be opened quickly, thereby facilitating emergency escape.
Apparatus for securing two members together
An apparatus is provided for securing together two members which are slidable towards and away from each other to provide a respective open and closed (locked) mode, wherein a plurality of devices are adapted to secure the members in a closed mode, and a control unit is adapted to operate the devices. The devices are in the embodiments described spaced longitudinally apart along a vertical edge or stile of a closure member, which may be a patio door, window, or other closure, with the control unit being disposed intermediate the devices and being operatively linked thereto by a connecting device for actuating the devices. The control unit may be driven manually by a control handle, by a solenoid, by an electric or electro-mechanical motor device, or by spring-loaded interlocking devices. The devices cooperate with keeper devices for securing the closure members together in the closed (locked) mode.
SELF-LOCKING GUILLOTINE DOOR
A self-locking guillotine door assembly and method for an animal enclosure is disclosed. The assembly includes a door, a locking mechanism attached to the door, and a cable attached to the locking mechanism. Pulling the cable releases the locking mechanism and lifts the locking mechanism and door. Pushing up on the bottom of the door locks the locking mechanism and resists lifting the door. The locking mechanism can include a post, a vertical slide with a slot, connector bars and cams such that when the cable is pulled, the cable lifts the vertical slide to lift proximal ends of the connector bars, which pivots the cams to release the locking mechanism. When the enclosure door is pushed up from the bottom, the locking mechanism pivots the cams towards the top of the enclosure door to lock the locking mechanism and resist lifting of the enclosure door.
WINDOW TILT LATCH SYSTEM
A window assembly is disclosed including a window casing; a sash assembly slidably mounted within the window casing, the sash assembly including first and second stiles extending between first and second rails; a first tilt latch assembly mounted in the first stile; a second tilt latch assembly mounted in the second stile; and a sash lock mounted to the first rail, the sash lock being operably connected to the first and second tilt latch assemblies to operate the first and second tilt latch assemblies between a latched position in which a latch member of each of the first and second tilt latch assemblies engages with the window casing assembly and an unlatched position in which the latch member of each of the first and second tilt latch assemblies is disengaged with the window casing assembly.
SLIDING ENTRY DOOR WITH INTEGRATED VENT AND LATCH
A lockable sliding door is described. A ratcheted track allows the movable panel of the door to be selectively locked in both closed and vented positions. A lever is positioned along a midpoint of the movable panel to allow for the easy engagement of the locking mechanism. Further, the locking mechanism is carried on the movable panel. The technology is configured to allow the sliding door to be locked in various configurations, with the door partially opened, completely open, or completely closed. The technology may also be utilized on windows or any other architectural features with a slide-to-open and close design.
