Combination sash lock and tilt latch and slidable window vent stop
A sash window fastener includes: a latch assembly; a lock assembly mounted upon the meeting rail; and a stop assembly mounted to the master frame. The lock assembly includes a pivotable cam to engage a keeper on the master frame to lock the window, and a pivotable follower arm, which interconnects with the latch assembly within the meeting rail, so cam rotation that drives arm rotation also causes translation of the latch. The cam occupies: an extended position to secure the cam to the keeper, with the latch tongue engaging the master frame to prevent tilting, also being positioned below a stop assembly protrusion to redundantly lock the window; a first retracted position permitting sliding of the window; and a second retracted position permitting tilting of the sash window. A slidable stop on the stop assembly dampens sliding sash window movement and subsequently acts as a vent stop.

Security lock for door
A security lock for a door is provided having a bracket on the interior side of the door with a locking bolt mounted in the bracket. The bolt is adapted for movement between a raised, unlocked position above a cavity on the floor below the bracket and a lowered, locked position where the bolt is in the cavity to prevent the door from being opened. A bolt restraint is mounted on the bracket and cooperates with the bracket to maintain the bolt in its unlocked position. The bolt restraint, for example, a spring-loaded ball that engages an annular recess in the bolt, releases the bolt into its locked position when a downward force is applied to the bolt. The locking bolt has an enlarged flange that stops movement of the bolt into the cavity beyond a predetermined location on the bolt.

SECURITY DEVICE
A security device for a door in a doorway. The device includes a floor-carriable portion and a door-carriable portion magnetically co-operable with the floor-carriable portion to stop the door opening past a communication position at which the door is positioned to guard the doorway and ajar to enable the communication via the doorway. At least one of the floor-carriable portion and the door-carriable portion is reconfigurable to allow the door to open past the communication position.
Chassis retention assembly
A retention bracket configured for use with a latch mechanism including a laterally extending housing. The retention bracket includes a first wall, a second wall, a collar, and a deformable section. The first and second walls are longitudinally offset from one another and are structured to receive the housing therebetween. The collar extends longitudinally outward from one of the walls and defines an opening having an effective diameter. The deformable section has a natural state in which the effective diameter is a first diameter, and a deformed state in which the effective diameter is a second diameter greater than the first diameter.
Tether lock
A lock for an access point such as a window includes a dual-action locking mechanism with a locking unit and a blocker. The locking unit is movable between a locking position and an unlocking position. The blocker blocks movement of the locking unit when the blocker is in a blocking position, and permits movement of the locking unit when the blocker is in an unblocking position. The lock may capture an insert attached to a tether to permit partial opening of a window while the unit is locked.

Door guard assembly
A door guard assembly is provided comprising: a first part that is attachable to a door; a second part that is attachable to a door frame; an elongate member; a slidable plate that comprises a receiving means; wherein the first part and/or the second part and/or the elongate member further comprise(s) a dampening means; and, wherein the elongate member is attached to the first part or the second part and in use can be engaged with the receiving means of the plate located on the other first or second part respectively when the plate is slid into an operating position such that the receiving means engages the outer surface of the elongate member as the door is opened and the receiving means and elongate member thus limit the opening of the door, and the dampening means absorbs an impact force that may be applied to the door whose opening has been limited in this way.
