A vehicle includes a chassis, a door track, a door operatively connected to the door track and adapted to move between a closed position and an open position, and a hinge assembly coupled to the door. The hinge assembly is movably coupled to the door track and includes a first bracket coupled to the door, a second bracket coupled to the first bracket, and a transport assembly coupled to the second bracket and adapted to move along the door track as the door moves between the open and closed positions. The transport assembly includes a coupling member for releasably coupling the second bracket to the transport assembly. Upon movement of the second bracket from the first position to the second position, the door moves to an extended open position with respect to the door track.

Disclosed is an assembly and a vehicle and apparatus including the assembly, for maintaining a vehicle door in an open position may include at least one rod member configured to connect at a first end to the door and at a second end to a vehicle frame. A tab may be connected to and extend in at least one direction from the rod member. A plunger may be configured to be anchored in the door and including a pin configured to extend from and retract into the plunger. The pin may be configured to engage the tab when extended and disengage from the tab when retracted.

Adjustable hinge assembly for automobile tailgate

This disclosure relates to an adjustable hinge assembly for an automobile tailgate. The hinge assembly includes a first mounting plate configured for mounting to an automobile body, a first hinge member attached to the first mounting plate, a second mounting plate configured for mounting to a tailgate, and a second hinge member attached to the second mounting plate. The first and second hinge members are hingedly connected. Adjustment screws are positioned on the hinge assembly to adjust the position of the first hinge member on the first mounting plate in the x and y-directions. An adjustment screw is positioned on the hinge assembly to adjust the position of the second hinge member on the second mounting plate in the z-direction. This is accomplished with minimal effort and tooling.

In an illustrative embodiment a hinge includes a hinge bracket, a hinge pin, a hinge arm, and a detent assembly. The hinge arm is rotatably connected to the hinge bracket via the hinge pin. The detent assembly is adapted to define a detent position of the hinge arm relative to the hinge bracket that is between an open position and a closed position of the hinge arm relative to the hinge bracket. The detent assembly includes a detent plate and a plunger assembly. The detent plate includes a recess formed therein. The plunger assembly includes an end that is biased at least partially into the recess while circumferentially aligned therewith to define the detent position.
