PIVOT DEVICE AND METHOD OF GENERATING ASYMMETRIC FRICTION TORQUE
A pivot device having asymmetric friction torque is provided. The pivot device includes a shaft extending along a longitudinal axis, a sleeve surrounding the shaft, the sleeve defining a gap extending longitudinally, the sleeve and the shaft being configured for rotation with respect to one another about the longitudinal axis, and a helical compression element surrounding the sleeve and exerting a compressive force onto the sleeve, wherein a first torque required to rotate the sleeve and the shaft with respect to one another in a first direction differs from a second torque required to rotate the sleeve and the shaft with respect to one another in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A method for providing a pivot device asymmetric friction torque is also provided.
Hinge rod trap for a collapsible bin
A collapsible bulk bin container having a flexible rib positioned to trap a hinge rod inserted between a base portion and a side wall of the container is provided. The flexible rib is moveable from a first position blocking an opening of a hinge rod channel to a second position allowing insertion or removal of the hinge rod.
Retaining clip for a door assembly
A clip for a vehicle door assembly includes a base, a plurality of fingers forming an expandable opening, and an arm extending from the base for locating the clip within the door assembly. Each of the fingers includes an inward projecting tab at least partially defining the expandable opening such that a tip of a pin contacts the inward projecting tabs during insertion of the pin causing the plurality of fingers to expand outward to an expanded position allowing the pin to enter the expandable opening until the inward projecting tabs align with a groove formed in the pin adjacent the tip wherein the inward projecting tabs enter the groove allowing the plurality of fingers to return to a natural position and secure the pin in position. Inner and outer members of the door assembly secure the clip therebetween for receiving pins associated with movement of the door.
PIVOT STRUCTURE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING THE SAME
A pivot structure includes a base, a bracket, an elastic member and a positioning assembly. The bracket is rotatably connected to the base. The elastic member is disposed on the base. The positioning assembly includes a linkage member and a sleeve. The linkage member is pivoted to the bracket and has a positioning portion. The sleeve is pivoted to the base. The sleeve is fitted around the linkage member and has a releasing segment and a positioning segment. The bracket is adapted to be expanded to a first expanding state relative to the base by the elastic force of the elastic member, so as to drive the positioning portion to move along the releasing segment. The bracket is adapted to receive an external force to be continually expanded to a second expanding state relative to the base, so as to drive the positioning portion to move to the positioning segment.
HINGE CLIP
Particular embodiments described herein provide for an device that includes a first body coupled to a first housing, a second body coupled to a second housing, a hinge rod, and a spring clip on an outside diameter of the hinge rod, where the spring clip is configured to increase the torque of the hinge.
HINGE MODULE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
An hinge module configured to pivotably couple first and second housings, includes a hinge bracket, a first rotation member coupled with the first housing and disposed on the hinge bracket pivotably or rotatably around a first folding axis, a second rotation member coupled with the second housing and disposed on the hinge bracket pivotably or rotatably around a second folding axis, a cam member on the hinge bracket to be linearly movable, and an elastic member providing elastic force to the cam member in a direction in which the first rotation member and the second rotation member are brought into close contact. The cam member is configured to press at least part of the first rotation member in a direction crossing the first folding axis or at least part of the second rotation member in a direction crossing the second folding axis based on elastic force of the elastic member.
