The device according to the invention is characterised in that the body thereof consists of a suction bell (2) comprising, at one end, an opening (16) receiving a torch-shaped member (5) having a suction cone (6), and, at the other end, a central member (4), and a discharge bell (3) that is connected to the suction bell (2) under the central member (4) and is fitted with a connection pipe (7) at its end situated opposite the central member (4).
Portable apparatus with mixing device and methods relating to collecting and processing human biological material comprising adipose
A portable apparatus for collection and processing of human biological material containing adipose, such as extracted during a lipoplasty procedure, is useful for multi-step processing to prepare a concentrated product (e.g., stromal vascular fraction) or a fat graft composition. The apparatus has a container with an internal containment volume including an available processing volume in a range of from 75 cubic centimeters to 1300 cubic centimeters, and with a tissue retention volume and a filtrate volume separated by a filter and with a tapered portion to a collection volume for collecting concentrate product. The apparatus has a mixing device for mixing contents within the tissue retention volume, and including a rotatable shaft extending from outside of the internal containment volume to inside of the internal containment volume and comprises at least one mixing member that is disposed in the tissue retention volume and is connected with the shaft to move through the tissue retention volume relative to the filter when the shaft is rotated. Methods include use of the apparatus to process human biological material containing adipose, such as to prepare a stromal vascular fraction concentrate product or a fat graft composition.
Adipose tissue separation device and methods
A tissue separating device (100) is provided. The tissue separating device (100) includes a canister device (20) including a canister body (21) defining a volume. A tissue retrieval port (36) can be arranged on the canister device (20) and is capable of being arranged in fluid communication with a harvesting device (300) for directing a fatty liposuction aspirate into the volume of the canister device (20). An adjustable height filtration mesh assembly (50) can be arranged within the canister body (21) and can include a filtering mesh (62). A tissue harvesting port (24) can be arranged in the sidewall of the canister body (21) and can be capable of being arranged in communication with a collection device (400) to allow the tissue harvesting port (24) to atraumatically receive a filtered pure fat collected on the filtering mesh (62). The filtration mesh assembly (50) can be movably arranged within the canister body (21) such that the filtering mesh (62) is adjustable with respect to the tissue harvesting port (24).
BLADDER IRRIGATION TOOL
A tool is attachable to a bladder irrigation catheter. A body supports multiple fluid pathways between each of the catheter, a supply of irrigation fluid and a waste fluid collector. A syringe or other pressure and vacuum applicator accesses the pathways and powers irrigation flow. A supply port and intake port are connected to a supply pathway leading to the applicator. Similarly, a drain port and discharge port are connected to a drain pathway leading to the applicator. The supply pathway and drain pathway can be selectively blocked so that action of the applicator only drives supply or drain irrigation action. Check valves are located to provide proper fluid flow direction. Bypasses between the supply port and intake port and between the drain port and discharge port can be activated to bypass the supply pathway and drain pathway and allow for gravity flow bladder irrigation through the tool.
MEDICAL ASPIRATOR WITH IMPROVED SAFETY
This disclosure relates to a medical aspirator with improved safety, and, more particularly, to a medical aspirator which stores a body fluid discharged from a human body in a storage container so as not be contaminated by air and discharges the stored body fluid through a discharge pipe installed in communication with the inside to the outside of the storage container, such that body fluid can be discharged without turning the storage container upside down and the body fluid can be prevented from being ejected due to a sudden pressure difference when a discharge line is opened.
Emptying device, assembly and method for emptying suction bag
The invention relates to a suction bag emptying device (20) comprising a container (19) for receiving a suction bag (3), the container (19) having a discharge point for discharging the contents of the suction bag. The emptying device (20) comprises means for puncturing a bag portion without making contact with the bag. The invention further relates to an assembly comprising at least one suction bag (3) and a suction bag emptying device (20), and to a method for emptying a suction bag (3).
Manifold For A Medical Waste Collection System
A medical waste collection system for collecting medical waste material, and a manifold for filtering the waste material and/or coupling a suction tube to the system. The system may include a receiver in which the manifold is configured to be inserted in a proximal direction to facilitate an inlet mechanism moving correspondingly in the distal direction. The manifold may include an arm, a spine, a lock element, and/or a catch each having a surface with a relative position in the proximal-to-distal direction. The rim and the catch may be spaced apart by a void, and the rim may be positioned below the catch. The housing may include a body portion, a first leg extending proximally from the body portion, and a second leg spaced apart from the first leg to define the void. The rim may be on the first leg, and the catch may be on the second leg.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR RECEIVING DISCHARGED URINE
A system suitable for collecting and transporting urine away from the body of a person or animal may include an assembly having a fluid impermeable casing, a fluid permeable membrane, and a fluid permeable support. A reservoir is defined by the fluid permeable support. The fluid permeable membrane can define a cavity. The casing can define an opening such that the cavity is accessible via the opening. The assembly can also include an outlet in fluidic communication with the reservoir. The assembly can be arranged such that a user's penis can be disposed through the opening with the urethral opening disposed within the cavity and such that a fluid can flow into the body from the urethral opening of the user's penis, collect in the reservoir, and flow out of the outlet.
Manifold For A Medical/Surgical Waste Collection Assembly
Manifold for a medical/surgical waste collection assembly. A shell includes a proximal end base, and a lip extending proximally from the proximal end base. The lip extends around an outlet opening defined in the proximal end base that is off-centered to a longitudinal axis of the shell. A cap including a cap head is coupled to a side wall of the shell. A drip stop may be seated within a space defined by the lip to cover the outlet opening. An arcuate section of the lip may be flush with an adjacent section of the side wall. The cap head may define a through hole, and a flapper valve unit may be coupled to the cap head with another component having ears extending through the through hole. A fence may extend from the cap head and configured to be grasped by a user.
