A drainage system according to certain aspects of the present disclosure may include a container having an interior and a mouth, where the mouth has an outer surface and an opening. The drainage system may further include a frangible seal covering the opening and a cap, where the cap is secured to the mouth and is in fluid communication with a drainage line, and where the cap has an inner surface configured to engage with the outer surface of the mouth. An O-ring may be located at least partially between the outer surface of the mouth and the inner surface of the cap to form a fluid seal between a space defined by the cap and the space located externally of the drainage system.

Percutaneous Joint Lavage Devices and Kits

Percutaneous musculoskeletal lavage devices, and procedures for simultaneous therapeutic and diagnostic purposes, performed with a needle or catheter and various combinations of a syringe, reciprocating syringe, stop-cock, check valves, depth indicator, compressive sleeve or brace, and specialty catheters, provided individually or in a kit. The lavage fluid can be analyzed for factors of medical interest and used to determine personalized treatment, and has intrinsic medical benefit by virtue of clearing the tissues of noxious substances in an enhanced fashion.

Thoracic catheter device

A thoracic catheter system comprises a flexible thoracic catheter for inserting into a thoracic cavity of a human. A distal end of the thoracic catheter has a plurality of apertures. A proximate end of the thoracic catheter is designed to extend out of the thoracic cavity. A three way valve is one of fused with and removably attached to the proximal end of the thoracic catheter.

EVACUATED DRAINAGE CONTAINER

A pre-evacuated container for medical purposes includes an outer body that forms an internal cavity, wherein in a default state the internal cavity is at a vacuum pressure relative to atmosphere, and a fluid interface on the outer body that connects to a drainage tube. A pressure indicator on the outer body is adapted to provide an indication as to a fluid pressure state of the internal cavity. An outlet assembly can be actuated to form an opening between atmosphere and the internal cavity, wherein the outlet assembly can be actuated without damaging the outer body.

DRAINAGE SYSTEM WITH RETENTION RING

In one general aspect, the present disclosure provides a drainage system. The drainage system may include a container having an interior and a mouth, the mouth having an outer surface and an opening. A frangible seal may cover the opening. A cap may be secured to the mouth, and the cap may be in fluid communication with a drainage line. The cap may have an inner surface for engaging with the outer surface of the mouth. The drainage system may further include a retention ring with a collar having an inner surface configured to engage an outer surface of the cap, where the retention ring includes a bead for at least partially concentrating a restriction force provided by the retention ring on an adjacent area of the outer surface of the cap.

SUCTION STENT, STENT SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR SEALING A LEAKAGE
20190008630 · 2019-01-10 ·

The invention relates to a suction stent for introduction into a hollow organ of the human or animal body, preferably into the gastrointestinal tract, in particular the intestine, comprising a tubular hollow body which is open in the longitudinal direction and made of biocompatible material, the tubular hollow body having a fixed diameter at least in its central portion; and a porous shapeable material, preferably a sponge material, which is biocompatible and shapeable in the radial direction, the porous shapeable material radially sheathing the tubular hollow body at least in a section of the tubular hollow body. Further, the invention relates to a method for sealing a leakage, especially an anastomosis, of the hollow organ.

Drainage System Including Actuation Device For Providing A Negative Pressure For Draining And Collecting Bodily Fluids

A drainage system for draining bodily fluid includes a fluid-receiving body having a fluid-receiving chamber located therein that receives a bodily fluid through an inlet. An actuation device includes a housing with a container-receiving chamber that is sized and configured to receive a pre-evacuated container therein. The actuation device includes an actuation member that, upon actuation, moves either the pre-evacuated container or a piercing element toward the other of the pre-evacuated container or piercing element such that the piercing element pierces a seal of the pre-evacuated container providing communication of a negative pressure inside the pre-evacuated container to a fluid-receiving passageway to draw bodily fluid into the fluid-receiving passageway and toward the fluid-receiving body.
