MODULAR BARRIER PANEL FRAME REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A frame rail for a movable barrier includes a top side, a bottom side, a front side, and a rear side. A first module connector is formed on the rear side. The first module connector extends continuously along a length of the frame rail and is configured to slidably receive a corresponding second module connector of a module. The frame rail has a continuous cross-section with the first module connector integrally formed with the top, bottom, front, and rear sides. One of the first or second module connectors comprises a groove and the other of the first or second module connectors comprises a tongue configured for receipt within the groove. The first module connector is configured to slidably receive the second module connector from a longitudinal end surface of the frame rail.
STRUT FOR WINDLOAD DOOR
Disclosed is strut for a wind load door comprised of connected portions disposed at angles to one another. The strut comprises a mounting portion, the mounting portion including a fastener mechanism adapted to connect the strut to a panel of the door. The mounting portion is connected with a first oblique portion, a first edge of the first oblique portion connected with the mounting portion at a first edge of the mounting portion, the first oblique portion extending at a first angle with respect to the mounting portion. The mounting portion is connected with a leg portion, a first edge of the leg portion connected with the mounting portion at a second edge of the mounting portion, the leg portion extending at a second angle with respect to the mounting portion. The leg portion is connected with a web portion, a first edge of the web portion connected with a second edge of the leg portion, the web portion extending at a third angle from the leg portion. The web portion is connected with a second oblique portion, a first edge of the second oblique portion connected with a second edge of the web portion, the second oblique portion extending at a fourth angle from the web portion. The strut may include one or more ribs extending along a portion of the mounting portion and the leg portion.
HIGH-SPEED SECTIONAL DOOR
A high-speed sectional overhead door covers a door opening with panels stacked in a single plane and lifted from the bottom-most panel. As panels are lifted, each rolls in its own individual track. As the panels move into the head area, they run through curved tracks and are nested there. The stored panels stacked horizontally one atop another with the door open. This design utilizes a dedicated panel-track pairing as well as a unique hook/cam device which allows for the upper panel to be both locked in the closed position and pushed away for separation and storage in the open position. The design also provides a sectional door with low headroom clearance, high speed closing/opening and a multitude of panel heights without hinges joining the adjacent panels
GARAGE DOOR SYSTEM
A garage door roller assembly includes at least one track and a first panel and a second panel that are movable along the at least one track. The first panel and the second panel are connected by a hinge. The first panel and the second panel each have a first end portion including a planar surface, a recess defined in the planar surface, and a rail extending from a trough of the recess, the rail having a height that is less than a depth of the recess. A channel member is secured to the rail of the first panel. The channel member extends beyond the planar surface of the first panel and is configured to receive the rail of the second panel.
Hinge Assembly
A hinge assembly utilizes first and second hinge members. Each hinge member has an attachment body and a pair of laterally spaced apart opposite arms. Each arm has an aperture for receiving a cylindrical member for rotatably coupling the hinge members together so that the hinge members are rotatable about the cylindrical member. The arms of each of the first and second hinge members are spaced apart the same distance, with each arm of having an outer face that faces away from the opposite arm and an inner face that faces the opposite arm. The hinge members are configured so that each arm of each hinge member interfaces with one arm of the other hinge member with the arms of the hinge members being in an offset arrangement wherein the outer face of only one arm of each hinge member interfaces the inner face of only one arm of the other hinge member.
Insulated door panels
Example insulated pliable door panels or curtains include various internal vapor barriers. The vapor barriers have a relatively high water vapor transmission rate that inhibits water vapor from permeating through the door panel. With such vapor barriers, outer sheets of the door panel can be made of polyurethane or other tough materials that might have an inadequate water vapor transmission rate. In some examples, the vapor barrier encircles or encloses a thermally insulating pad. In some examples, the door panel includes a sleeve or pocket that holds the vapor barrier in place. Some examples include means for draining water that might condense within the door panel.
Tank cover access hatch with safety barrier
A tank cover, especially a cover on a sewage treatment tank, is provided with an access opening with a liftable hatch cover. Along with the hatch cover is a safety barrier or grate, either connected directly to the hatch cover or to structure surrounding the hatch opening. When the hatch is opened the barrier is deployed to prevent a worker from accidentally falling through the opening. In one form the barrier is pivotally attached to the bottom side of the hatch cover, and can be swung out as the hatch is opened to form an A shaped or roof shaped barrier, with the hatch cover and the barrier both inclined and essentially forming a roof over the opening. Braces or struts hold these components in the erected position and provide barriers from the sides. For entry of a person through the opening, the barrier or grate can be retained against the bottom of the hatch cover as the cover is swung fully open, through 180. In another form the barrier is secured to tank cover structure just below the hatch cover and can be left in place as a horizontal barrier when the cover is fully opened. For access into the tank the barrier/grate can be swung back in the same direction as the access cover and stacked on the opened access cover.
ROD SECURING HINGE AND METHOD
A cap for mounting on a hinge is described. The cap includes: a body defining a first attaching portion for attaching the body to a hinge at a first location; a second attaching portion defined by the body for attaching the body to the hinge at a second location; and a channel defined by the body wherein the body is configured to secure a rod to the hinge by trapping the rod in the channel between the body and the hinge and the channel is located between the first and second attaching portions.
Door Descent Preventing Apparatus
The present invention relates to a door descent preventing apparatus, and more particularly a door descent preventing apparatus mounted to a shaft installed at an inlet or an outlet of a chamber in a vertical direction in order to prevent descent of a door configured to be moved upwards and downwards along the shaft, the door descent preventing apparatus including a plurality of support bars, an upper fixing unit configured to connect upper ends of the support bars to each other, the upper fixing unit including a first upper fixing piece having a semicircular arc shape and a second upper fixing piece having a semicircular arc shape, and a lower fixing unit configured to connect lower ends of the support bars to each other, the lower fixing unit including a first lower fixing piece having a semicircular arc shape and a second lower fixing piece having a semicircular arc shape.
Protector for use with a door
This disclosure relates generally to protecting roller devices and assemblies that prevent damage caused by doors, such as garage doors. The protecting roller devices can include two separable portions each having a wheel at one end, with a connection portion therebetween. In some embodiments, the connecting portion passes through a hollow axle of a hinge to connect the separable portions. In some other embodiments, the protecting roller device can comprise a middle portion that can be connected to the hinge, such as using a fastener. The highest point of the protecting roller device can be above the highest point of the hinge, such that the protecting roller device will encounter an obstruction such as an automobile instead of the hinge. The protecting roller device can be made of a material designed to prevent or minimize damage to the obstruction.
