CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A control system for controlling vehicle door movement along a door sweep trajectory between a first position and a second position, can include one or more controllers, the control system configured to: receive a sensor signal; based on the sensor signal, generate an obstacle detection map of a sensor region in the vicinity of the vehicle, the obstacle detection map comprising a location of an obstacle if present; determine an overlap of the obstacle detection map and a projected door sweep region defined by the door sweep trajectory; and generate an output signal based on the determined overlap.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating a motor vehicle, in which an object situated in a sensor region is detected with the aid of a sensor in surroundings of the motor vehicle; A piece of position information relating to the object is created. The position information is retained when the object is moved out of the sensor region, due to a movement of the motor vehicle, the distance of the object to the motor vehicle not increasing. The invention further relates to a motor vehicle and a computer program product.
Apparatus and Method of Controlling Door for Vehicle
An apparatus can be used for controlling a door for a vehicle. A sensor unit is provided in the door and configured to sense an object adjacent to a region outside of the door. A controller configured to calculate a distance between the object and the door based on a signal received from the sensor unit, set a range by dividing and setting sensing ranges for each sensing distance of the sensor unit, and control the door to be opened while the distance to the object is gradually reduced in a state where the door is closed, such that the object is sensed within a predetermined range. The range is set by setting a maximum sensing distance in a state where the door is opened to be longer than in the state where the door is closed.
METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING AND CLASSIFYING OBJECTS, AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for identifying and classifying objects in the surroundings of a motor vehicle, which method uses merely a single sensor for object detection. The method is characterized in that this single sensor moves in space while the object is being detected. In this case, during the measurement, the single sensor would act to a certain extent like a second sensor. The echo signals, reflected by the object, of different measurement cycles can be used to determine the differential speed, distance and angle. The method provides the possibility of being able to classify, by means of a single sensor, objects and items in the surroundings of a motor vehicle in terms of their size.
Parking Assistance System
A parking assistance system for a vehicle includes surround sensors, internal sensors, a data memory, and a processing unit. The surround sensors are configured to provide sensor data of the surrounding of the vehicle. The internal sensors are configured to detect a seat occupancy of passenger seats within the passenger room of the vehicle. The data memory stores a vehicle data model of the vehicle including positions of vehicle doors in the chassis of the vehicle. In addition, the processing unit is configured to process the sensor data received from the surround sensors to calculate an occupancy grid map of the vehicle's surrounding and further configured to calculate disembarking distances for the vehicle doors depending on the vehicle data model, the occupancy grid map and the detected seat occupancy.
Vehicle and Control Method Thereof
An embodiment vehicle includes a tailgate, a tailgate opening and closing device, a travelling device, an object detection sensor, and a controller configured to, in response to receiving an opening signal for the tailgate while the vehicle is parked, determine a distance to an obstacle located at a rear of the vehicle based on an output of the object detection sensor, and in response to the distance being greater than or equal to a predetermined dangerous distance, control the tailgate opening and closing device to open the tailgate, or in response to the distance being less than the predetermined dangerous distance, control the travelling device to move the vehicle by a predetermined movement distance in a reverse direction of a parking path and control the tailgate opening and closing device to open the tailgate after the vehicle moves by the predetermined movement distance.
VEHICLE DOOR CONTROL APPARATUS AND VEHICLE
A vehicle door control apparatus includes a sensor provided on a door of a vehicle. The vehicle door control apparatus also includes a processor configured to control opening or closing of the door based on information regarding an object sensed through the sensor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING OPERATOR CHARACTERISTIC TO ADJUST POSITION OF POWER ACTUATED MOVABLE PANEL
A system and method include a sensor disposed adjacent a power actuated movable panel of a vehicle for detecting an approach of an operator to the power actuated movable panel and measuring at least one operator characteristic of the operator in proximity to the sensor. The system and method also include a controller in communication with the sensor to interpret sensor data of the operator from the sensor to determine the at least one operator characteristic to adjust a position of the power actuated movable panel based on the at least one operator characteristic.
DOOR PRESENTING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR ELEMENT
A door presenting device for a motor vehicle door element, having an electric drive unit and an actuating means, wherein the actuating means can be adjusted by means of the drive unit and a gear mechanism arranged between the actuating means and the drive unit, with the result that a movement of the door element can be enabled, and further having a locking means. The door element can be maintained in position by means of the locking means and the locking means can be electrically actuated, namely indirectly, preferably manually, actuated.
LEANING-AGAINST-VEHICLE DOOR DETECTION SYSTEM
A leaning-against-vehicle door detection system includes an imager and a determination device. The imager has an image pickup range including a door of a vehicle and the vicinity of the door inside a vehicle cabin. The determination device determines whether or not there is a passenger or luggage leaning against the door, from an image picked up by the imager.
