An electromechanical drive unit and a control device control the displacement of the sliding door. A fire protection unit has a bracket and, movably mounted on the bracket, a fire protection device made of a material having a defined fire resistance. The fire protection device is horizontally displaceable within the wall shell region with respect to the bracket between a retracted position in which the sliding door is in the open position, and an extended position in which the sliding door is in the closed position.

A building sliding door system has a frame structure with passage, door frame and wall shell regions, and a sliding door is movable in the frame structure along a movement axis between closed and open positions. The wall shell region at least partially receives the sliding door in the open position. A door leaf has an end face facing the passage region and extending transversely to the movement axis. A drive unit and a control device move the sliding door. A display device is arranged in a vertical section of the door and is connected to the control device. The display device has a user interface that extends between a region of the end face and a region of the door across the edge of the door. The control device controls the display device to display information on the door leaf side and/or on the end face.

A rear door assembly having a bracket, a rear door, a first movement mechanism and a second movement mechanism. The rear door has a lateral side with a slot formed therein. The first movement mechanism is attached to a rearward area of a vehicle body structure and is configured to move the bracket and the rear door from a closed orientation covering a rear opening in the vehicle body structure to at least an intermediate orientation partially uncovering the rear opening. The bracket has a pair of support pins extending in that extend into the slot with the support pins being supported on rollers within the slot. The second movement mechanism is disposed within the rear door to move the rear door relative to the support pins of the bracket along the slot.
