20230277751 · 2023-09-07 · ·

A uniform internal diameter drainage system is disclosed. The system comprises a drainage catheter with large French drains and an internal diameter that progressively expands to a uniform internal diameter of the system. The catheter comprises a receiving port in fluid-tight communication with an engaging port of a hub, which comprises a first end, second end and flush port. The second end engages the catheter and the internal diameter of the catheter and the second end are substantially uniform. The first end comprises a receiving port that engages an engaging port of a drainage line and internal diameter of the drainage line and the first end of the system of the present invention are substantially uniform. A flush valve is disposed between the first end and second end of the present system to flush fluids from the system as needed.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR REMOVING UNDESIRABLE MATERIAL WITHIN A CIRCULATORY SYSTEM UTILIZING DURING A SURGICAL PROCEDURE

A method for capturing dislodged vegetative growth during a surgical procedure is provided. The method includes maneuvering, into a circulatory system, a first cannula having a distal end and an opposing proximal end, such that the first cannula is positioned to capture the vegetative growth en bloc. A second cannula is positioned in fluid communication with the first cannula, such that a distal end of the second cannula is situated in spaced relation to the distal end of the first cannula. A suction force is provided through the distal end of the first cannula so as to capture the vegetative growth. Fluid removed by the suction force is reinfused through the distal end of the second cannula. Subsequent to becoming dislodged, the vegetative growth is captured by the first cannula. A method for capturing a vegetative growth during removal of a pacemaker lead is also provided.

An adapter for an evacuator for increasing a suction power of the evacuator includes a suction assembly adapted to be coupled with the evacuator. The suction assembly has a housing, an impeller arranged inside the housing and configured to provide a suction, and an inlet conduit to facilitate a flow of fluid to the impeller. The suction assembly also includes an outlet conduit arranged inside the housing and adapted to be coupled to the evacuator. The outlet conduit is in fluid communication with the impeller and facilitates a flow of the fluid from the suction assembly to the evacuator.

Catheter configured for use with negative pressure and system comprising same

An external catheter system can comprise an external catheter comprising an engagement portion that is configured to receive and sealingly engage at least a portion of a penis of a user and an outlet. The system can further comprise a negative pressure source. A conduit can couple the negative pressure source to the external catheter. At least one of the external catheter and the conduit can comprise a portion that, upon application of a negative pressure by the negative pressure source, is configured to collapse to provide a pressure drop between the negative pressure source and the engagement portion of the external catheter.
