DEVICE AND METHODS FOR TISSUE PROCESSING
20190185814 · 2019-06-20 ·

The present disclosure provides devices and methods for processing and harvesting adipose tissue. The disclosed devices, systems, and methods offer allow for filtering and harvesting small adipose particles. The devices, systems, and methods include a device comprising an interior tissue harvesting volume and an exterior waste collection volume separated by a filter. Fluids and small molecular elements that pass through the filter during tissue processing are removed, while adipose tissues of interest may remain within the filter to be collected and reinjected.

Systems and methods for medical device control

Systems, devices, and methods of the present disclosure assist with management of tubes and hoses during surgical procedures. The systems, devices, and methods provide for the proper opening and closing of tubes to facilitate performance of steps in a surgical procedure. Systems, devices, and methods of the present disclosure control fluid delivery to and from a medical device, including devices for tissue processing and cleaning.

COLLECTION OF AMNIOTIC FLUID FOR WOUND HEALING
20190167862 · 2019-06-06 ·

Disclosed are a method of wound healing and an apparatus for the collection, processing and application of amniotic fluid at a wound site to improve healing. The apparatus includes a canister or bag positioned along the vacuum line through which the amniotic fluid and placental aspirate is suctioned. The canister or bag also has a sterile syringe port, through which amniotic fluid can be extracted and later processed. The processed material can then be applied to the wound site of the patient. The apparatus and method disclosed allow for the processing of the amniotic fluid to take place in the same room as the surgical procedure. A kit is provided but not limited to including an amnion rupture tool, a canister or bag for collection, Yankauer suction tip, tubing, and a dual syringe mixing sprayer for reapplication.

A triple-chambered container includes: a main container body with a first chamber which has an opening at its distal end; a main barrel formed and movable longitudinally within the first chamber, the main barrel defining therein a second chamber for receiving fluids, the main barrel further having an apertured stopper at its distal end; a second barrel formed within the main barrel, the second barrel defining a third chamber for receiving fluids, the second barrel being movable longitudinally within and with respect to the main barrel, the second barrel having a distal end which is engageable and disengageable with the apertured stopper; a shaft adapted to fit within the second barrel, the shaft being movable longitudinally within and with respect to the second barrel, the shaft having a distal end which is engageable and disengageable with an aperture in the second barrel; a device for controlling engaging and disengaging of the distal end of the shaft with the aperture of the second barrel. The first chamber, the second chamber and the third chamber may be selectively moved to receive and discharge fluids with respect to one another.

Methods and devices for harvesting and processing connective tissue precursor cells from autologous fat
12005048 · 2024-06-11 · ·

Methods and devices are disclosed for processing stromal precursor cells (i.e., cells which can differentiate into connective tissue cells, such as in muscles, ligaments, or tendons) which can be obtained from fatty tissue extracts obtained via liposuction. Normal processing of a liposuction extract involves centrifugation, to concentrate the stromal cells into a semi-concentrated form called spun fat. That spun fat can then be treated by mechanical processing (such as pressure-driven extrusion through 0.5 mm holes) under conditions which can gently pry the stromal cells away from extra-cellular collagen fibers and other debris in the spun fat. The extruded mixture is then centrifuged again, to separate a highly-enriched population of stromal cells which is suited for injection back into the patient (along with platelet cells, if desired, to further promote tissue repair or regeneration).
