A furniture drive includes base body to be fixed to a furniture carcass, an actuating arm to be fixed to a movable furniture part, and a locking device for locking the actuating arm to the base body. The locking device includes a locking element movable between a locking position, in which the actuating arm is locked to the base body, and a demounting position, in which the actuating arm can be demounted from the base body. An actuating device can preferably be actuated with a tool, for moving the locking element from the locking position into the demounting position. The furniture drive includes a releasable securing device configured to prevent a movement of the locking element from the locking position into the demounting position upon an actuation of the actuating device.

A vehicle center console assembly includes a vehicle body structure and a center console assembly. The vehicle body structure includes a passenger compartment floor with a front seat assembly installed to the floor and a pair of second row seats installed to the floor rearward of the front seat assembly. The center console assembly is releasably attached to the floor between the pair of second row seats. The locking element is adjustable between a locking position and a release position, and the movement of the frame part and of the door part relative to one another along the pin axis from the pivoted position into the installed position is positively inhibited by the locking element the locking position and is freed by the locking element in the release position, the locking element being retained on the frame part or on the door part so as to be adjustable between the locking position and the release position.

A door operator having an automatic roller closes and opens a door attached to a doorjamb by a door hinge. The roller is actuated by a motor and housed within a protective roller casing affixed to the bottom of a door. The door operator may be integrated with a smart home, thereby allowing a user to close and open a door by voice command. The door operator may be retrofitted to existing doors. A door may also be modified such that only a magnet holds the door closed and a closed position such that the smart home door closing apparatus may be used to open a door. The roller may translate between an extended position engaging the floor below a door and a retracted position above the floor, either inside or adjacent to the door itself.
