INSULATED FRAME SECTION AND REFRIGERATOR DOOR SYSTEM CONSTRUCTED FROM SUCH SECTIONS
The present disclosure relates to an insulated frame section. The frame section comprises an elongate interior frame member, an elongate exterior frame member and an elongate insulation element connected to the interior frame member and to the exterior frame member. The insulation element prevents any direct physical contact between the interior and exterior frame members. A refrigerator door system having a door and a door frame constructed from such insulated frame sections is also disclosed.
MODULAR WINDOW ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION AND MODIFICATION
A frame assembly for a modular window assembly for an opening in a structure comprises a main structural frame defining an electrical enclosure and being mountable to the structure, a removable exterior frame mountable to the main structural frame and defining an angled lip for water runoff, the removable exterior frame being configured to secure an outer glass pane of a set of glass panes of the modular window assembly, an insulating feature between the main structural frame and the removable exterior frame and configured to prevent thermal conduction therebetween, and at least one vapor neutralizer between the main structural frame and the removable exterior frame and configured to prevent moisture from accumulating within the modular window assembly. One primary benefit of this modular window assembly is the ability to swap out some or all of the set of glass panes and replace them with new glass technology as developed.
DOOR, WINDOW, OR FACADE ELEMENT AND FITTING ARRANGEMENT FOR SUCH AN ELEMENT
A window, door, or facade element includes an outer frame composed of out frame bars and a leaf frame composed of leaf frame bars. One or more of the outer frame bars and/or of the leaf frame bars has/have at least the following features: a base profile, on which two fastening grooves that are open in the same direction are formed for fixing a corresponding fastener of a fitting arrangement, which bridges the intermediate space between the fastening grooves. The two fastening grooves have at least one latch for at least one counterpart latch, which can be attached without tools, of a fitting part arrangement. The fitting arrangement has a functional fitting on a fitting plate and at least one support element for supporting the fitting. The support element is designed for direct or indirect latching in the fastening grooves by means of the counterpart latch.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED LOUVER WINDOWS
The system includes a series of operable louvers mounted on a four-sided frame and connected on each side to the operating mechanism that allows for easy opening and closing of the louvers. Every part of the system that is exposing to the exterior of the building is separated from the interior part of the system by a low heat conductivity material as a thermal barrier. Each operable louver is composing of a four-sided main frame, two panes of glass (inner and outer) and a coupling mechanism on each side that connects to the operating mechanism. The main frame acts as the thermal break as well as a system that absorbs the energy created when an outside object impacts the window from the outside. The system incorporates sealing devices between all moving parts to eliminate water and air infiltration. The operating system allows for easy opening and closing of the window by rotating each louver with the crank mechanism assisted by springs.
Thermally enhanced multi-component glass doors and windows
A building component includes a first glass pane connected to a second glass pane to form an insulated glass unit. The first glass pane and the second glass pane define a pocket therebetween. The insulated glass unit is positioned in a frame. The building component includes an insulating material in the middle portion of the frame. The insulating material defines a continuous frame thermal break extending through the frame. The frame thermal break is aligned with the pocket. The frame thermal break has a width of at least 1 inch. The pocket has a width that is less than the width of the frame thermal break.
Folding Device with Adjusting Strip
A folding device as room closure has a frame and a chain of panels arranged therein. The panels are pivotably connected by alternate first and second hinge arrangements and foldable from a stretched-out closed position into an open accordion fold arrangement. First hinge arrangements are guided on guide rails of the frame; second hinge arrangements are deflected away from the frame. In the closed position, the panels are sealed relative to each other and to the frame by frame seals extending at least partially along a sealing plane. An adjusting strip in front of a lateral frame part is adjustable to adjust a spacing between adjustable strip and lateral frame part for spatial adaption to an adjacent panel. The adjusting strip has a sealing contact surface aligned with the sealing plane and resting against a seal arranged on the lateral frame part and extending into the guide rails.
Integrated insulation extrusion and extrusion technology for window and door systems
Extruded plastic profiles with integrated insulation, the method for extruding such products, and the windows and doors made with such plastic extrusions. The plastic extrusions may additionally include a low heat build-up capstock system comprising an acrylic cap and pigment system that is substantially IR transparent. The extruded plastic profiles with integrated insulation are recyclable using conventional plastic extrusion process and are fully weldable in conventional window and door manufacturing.
Method and system for thermal barrier installation
An insulation system including a first retention member having a first channel, a second retention member having a second channel, and a thermal bridge. The thermal bridge includes a first finger and a second finger. The first finger is received into the first channel and the second finger is received into the second channel. The system further includes a first locking tab associated with the first channel for securing the first finger and a second locking tab associated with the second channel for securing the second finger. The thermal bridge substantially reduces conductive heat transfer between the first retention member and the second retention member.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURE FOR STATIONARY AND MOBILE FLAT ELEMENTS
A composite structure for stationary and mobile flat elements, the structure including a two-dimensional infill, in particular multiple glazing or a composite panel, having first composite profiles each having an outer profile, an inner profile and one or more first separation bars connecting the outer profile and inner profile. The connection between outer profile and inner profile is shear-enabled in the longitudinal direction. The outer profile is mounted against an outer side of the peripheral zone of the infill shear-resistantly relative to the infill in the longitudinal direction in a first length portion of at most 5% of the length of the outer profile, but shear-enabledly over the remaining length. The inner profile is mounted against an inner side of a peripheral zone of the infill shear-resistantly relative to the infill in the longitudinal direction in a second length portion of at least the length of the first length portion.
