A home appliance comprises a cabinet having a chamber, a door configured to open or close the chamber by being rotated about a door rotating shaft, and a handle assembly provided at the exterior of a front surface of the door. The handle assembly includes a handle configured to assist a user in opening or closing the door, a handle link rotating shaft, a handle link attached to the handle, and a distance spacer provided between the handle link and the handle link rotating shaft to maintain a distance between the handle link and the handle link rotating shaft. The handle link is rotatable about the handle link rotating shaft as the door is rotated to an open position and extends out of the door in an increasing length as an opening angle of the door increases.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING VEHICLE DOORS

A system for closing carriage doors of a vehicle may include first and second carriage doors configured to open and close via respective first and second actuators. The system may also include a controller configured to receive signals indicative of angles of the first and second doors relative to closed positions. The controller may also be configured to determine respective first and second velocity profiles for the first and second carriage doors based on the angles of the first and second doors. In addition, the controller may be configured to control operation of at least one of the first and second actuators based on the first and second angles, such that the first carriage door and the second carriage door stay farther apart from one another than a predetermined threshold distance while closing.

A fenestration assembly includes a fenestration frame and at least one panel movable between open and closed positions. A locking mechanism is coupled with the at least one panel and includes at least one latch and at least one latch fastener. The panel includes a secure configuration with the panel in the closed position and the latch coupled with the latch fastener. In the unsecure configuration one or more of the panel is in the open position or the latch is decoupled from the latch fastener. A status monitoring assembly monitors the secure and unsecure configurations and includes a sensor operator coupled with the latch, and a sensor coupled with one of the fenestration frame or the panel. In the secure configuration, the status monitoring assembly detects the sensor operator with the sensor if the panel is in the closed position and the latch is coupled with the latch fastener.

WEATHERSTRIP FIXING STRUCTURE

A portion of a peripheral wall of a hollow portion receiving a compression load when a door is closed has a slit-shaped core removal hole through which a core member used to mold the inner surface of the hollow portion is removed from the hollow portion. An attachment member has an insertion plate portion to be inserted into the core removal hole. The thickness of the insertion plate portion is set to be substantially equal to the width of an opening of the core removal hole.
