10533360 · 2020-01-14 · ·

Monitoring systems for automatic doors comprise at least one input device configured for sensing at least one characteristic of at least one operational parameter of an automatic door system, a door system controller coupled to the at least one input device, at least one monitor display comprising a first interface operatively coupled to the door system controller, and at least another interface operatively coupled to the at least one monitor display and configured to be operatively coupled to at least one remote display device. The at least one monitor display is configured to continuously request information representative of the at least one operational parameter characteristic from the door system controller and display the information. Methods of monitoring an automatic door system comprise transmitting data representative of an operational parameter characteristic from an input device to at least one door system controller; sending a description of the operational parameter to a monitor display continuously; and displaying indicia representative of the description of the operational parameter.

Hinge assembly for folding closure
20200002984 · 2020-01-02 ·

A hinge assembly for a folding closure includes a plurality of elongated, planar panels, each of which has a pair of parallel sides, and flanges on each side with the flanges on one side extending in one direction perpendicular to a plane of the panel and the flanges on the other side extending in a second direction opposite to the one direction; and a hinge for pivotally connecting panels in side by side relationship to each other, the hinge including an elongated body having a generally triangular cross section, generally C-shaped grooves extending the length of the body proximate two adjacent corners of the body, the grooves opening in opposite directions for receiving the flanges of adjacent panels and permitting rotation of the panels about a longitudinal axis of the hinge between closure open and closed position, and opposed stops at the open outer ends of the grooves for limiting rotation of the panels between the open and closed position.

Vertically stacking panel door with cam levers

A vertical panel door stacking system for a door having panels with end caps coupled thereto. The end caps include a body portion, a cam lever to rotate around an axis to generate a lift force to lift and separate an adjacent pair of panels of the panels of the door, a first track wheel, a second track wheel, and a third track wheel. The track wheels interact with a track system to guide movement of the door panels between a closed position and an open position.

Foldable gate

The present disclosure is generally directed to a gate having a frame that can fold and collapse into a compact profile for purposes of storage and travel. In an embodiment, a gate consistent with the present disclosure includes a plurality of frame members coupled together via hinged couplers. The hinged couplers provide an in-use configuration whereby the frame members occupy substantially the same plane and form a picture-frame/rectangular shape. Preferably, a foldable material such as mesh at least partially surrounds each frame member and extends between the frame members to form a sidewall. The hinged couplers include at least a first hinged coupler configured to allow for out-of-plane rotation about a first axis to fold the frame members relative to each other in a clamshell fashion, and at least a second hinged coupler to allow for in-plane rotation about a second axis to collapse the frame members.

Electronics enclosure with low-profile door

An electronics cabinet includes an enclosure comprising a floor, a ceiling, a rear wall, and opposed side walls configured to form an internal cavity a door assembly attached to one of the side walls. The door assembly includes: a main door pivotally connected to the enclosure, the main door including a window, the main door being movable between a closed position and an ajar position; and a plurality of door panels, the door panels pivotally connected with each other, at least some of the door panels being pivotally and slidably attached to the main door, the door panels configured to move from an unfolded position, in which the door panels are generally coplanar and block access to the window, and a folded position, in which the door panels are generally parallel and non-coplanar. The main door and door panels are configured so that the door panels cannot move from the unfolded position to the folded position unless the main door is in the ajar position.

Insulated doors with restorable breakaway sections

A door includes a panel assembly including a leading panel and a trailing panel. The leading panel is to be in substantially coplanar alignment with the trailing panel when the panel assembly is in a normal configuration. The leading panel is to be angularly displaced out of coplanar alignment with the trailing panel when the panel assembly is in a dislodged configuration. The door further includes a tension member to connect the leading panel to the trailing panel. The tension member is to resiliently urge the leading panel and the trailing panel toward each other in a horizontal direction. The tension member is to resiliently urge the panel assembly toward the normal configuration when the panel assembly is in the dislodged configuration.

Adjustable Architectural Frame System

An adjustable architectural frame uses multiple length-adjustable support beams and a pair of panel-connecting mechanisms to function as a framework for mounting architectural panels of varying size and construction. The support beams of the adjustable architectural panel include width-adjustment beams and height adjustment beams. The width-adjustment beams and the height-adjustment beams are preferably telescopic beams that have lengths which can be increased or decreased. These beams are terminally connected to create a quadrilateral frame that has physical dimensions which can be modified as a user desires. Additionally, the adjustable architectural panel makes use of the pair of panel-connecting mechanisms to mount various types of architectural panels onto the adjustable architectural frame. For example, the pair of panel-connecting mechanisms can be tracks along which an accordion door runs. Alternatively, the pair of panel-connecting mechanisms can be rods which support a sheet of material that is played out from a reel.

ARTICULATING MOUNTING BRACKET FOR HANGING DOORS

An articulating bracket for a hanging door. The articulating bracket is a two-part structure having a top piece and a bottom piece rotatably coupled together. The bottom piece attaches to a door, and the top piece extends upward from the bottom piece, with a roller wheel attached to the top piece and adapted to roll along a rail mounted above the door. The articulating bracket is particularly advantageous for a pair of doors that are coupled together at their proximal edges. With a first articulating bracket attached at one extreme top position of the first door and a second articulating bracket at the other extreme top position of the second door, one of the articulating brackets is affixed to a supporting structure and the other is free to move with the roller wheel along the rail. As the roller wheel is moved, both of the brackets rotate to follow the outward rotation of the doors.

REVERSIBLE BIFOLD DOOR ROLLER ASSEMBLY
20240110419 · 2024-04-04 ·

An apparatus for mounting a bifold door panel, and allowing the panel to run on a track. The apparatus has a trolley that runs within the track and a vertical elongate member that is axially movable relative to the trolley. A hinge or hinge portion is mounted on the elongate member, and a first support is disposed between the trolley and the hinge or hinge portion. The first support functions to support the hinge or hinge portion against a compression force arising from the bifold door panel when the apparatus is mounted on a top region of the panel. A second support is disposed at or toward the terminus of the elongate member and distal to the trolley. The second support functions to support the hinge or hinge portion against a compression force arising from the bifold door panel mounted thereon when mounted on a bottom region of the panel.
