Doors with adaptive positioning

Doors on a vehicle may be controlled by a door positioning system that moves the doors freely and fluidly relative to the body of the vehicle. The doors may include front and rear doors on each side of the vehicle. The door positioning system may control the movement and positioning of each door using a door mechanism coupled between the door and the body of the vehicle. The door positioning system may determine a position or path of motion for each door based on sensor data and user input. The door positioning system may issue corresponding control signals to actuators in the door mechanism to position the door accordingly. For example, the front door may slide open at an angle to accommodate an angled tire. Front and rear doors may open in opposite directions to create a large, unobstructed space for passengers to enter and exit the vehicle.

The piece of furniture (10) comprises a one-part or multi-part door (11), which serves to close an opening of the piece of furniture (10) and which is connected by hinges (3) to a mounting profile (85) which is held within a door compartment (14) by a displacement device (1) displaceably between a first end position and a second end position, which displacement device (1) has a lever mechanism (5) comprising four lever units (51, 52, 53, 54) rotatable in a plane, a first connection bridge (58A) and a second connection bridge (58B) and a centre bridge (55), which centre bridge (55) is pivotally connected on a first side by a first lever unit (51) and a second lever unit (52), which are spaced apart and aligned parallel to one another, each to the first connection bridge (58A), which is connected to at least one holding device (84A, 84B) mounted on the piece of furniture (10), and which centre bridge (55) is pivotally connected on a second side by a third lever unit (53) and a fourth lever unit (54), which are spaced apart and aligned parallel to one another, each to the second connection bridge (58B), which is connected to the mounting profile (85). According to the invention in the first end position of the mounting profile (85) the lever units (51, 53; 52, 54) are aligned at least approximately parallel to the first and second connection bridge (58A, 58B) and are at least partially sunk into the centre bridge (55), which centre bridge (55) in this first end position of the mounting profile (85) is at least partially sunk into one of the first and second connection bridges (58A, 58B).

Coplanar bi-fold and sliding door

A fenestration unit such as a door operable in a sliding mode and a bi-fold folding mode. Examples include a frame, a first panel, a second panel, and one or more fold hinges releasably pivotally connecting a second side portion of the first panel to a first side portion of the second panel and defining a folding axis. In the sliding mode (1) the fold hinges are configured to disconnect the first and second panels, (2) the first panel is in a closed position with respect to the frame, and (3) the second panel is configured to slide along a path generally parallel to the first panel between a closed position and a sliding open position. In the folding mode (1) the fold hinges are configured to pivotally connect the second side portion of the first panel and the first side portion of the second panel, and (2) the first panel and second panel fold with respect to one another about the folding axis with the first panel pivoting with respect to the frame and the second panel sliding and pivoting with respect to the frame as the first and second panels move between the closed positions and folding open positions.

DOOR SYSTEM HAVING A SWING INTERLOCK SYSTEM

A door system includes a header having a guide rail that has a central portion having a notch. A panel hanger is slidably coupled to the header. A door panel has a handle end portion releasably coupled to the panel hanger and a pivot end portion pivotably coupled to the panel hanger. The panel hanger and the door panel slide in unison between a closed position and a fully open position along a longitudinal plane. An interlock plate is positioned to extend upwardly from the door panel, and has a downwardly extending guide slot that slidably receives the guide rail of the header. When the door panel is in the fully open position, the interlock plate is aligned with the notch of the guide rail of the header in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal plane to facilitate a pivoting of the door panel away from the longitudinal plane.

Cooking appliance having stowable double doors

A cooking appliance may have side-by-side, outwardly-opening doors. The doors may be operatively coupled to each other such that they rotate together and also translate together into respective storage slots on either side of an appliance cavity. Translation into the storage slots may include guiding respective roller carriages of the doors along tracks in the storage slots.

Door hinge mechanism for a vehicle

The present disclosure is directed to a door hinge mechanism for a vehicle. The door hinge mechanism may include a door configured to open and close relative to the frame, and a hinge secured to an interior of the door and an exterior of the frame. The hinge may be configured to open the door by sliding the door away from the frame and pivoting the door relative to the frame.
