Kidney stone turbulent flow irrigator and system
10952758 · 2021-03-23 ·

A method of removing a kidney stone from the kidney and ureter of a human includes the steps of introducing a laminar flowing fluid via a ureteroscope into the ureter or kidney and proximal the kidney stone and flowing inward toward the kidney and then switching the laminar flow to a turbulent flow which causes a reverse flow that moves the kidney stone in a direction away from the kidney and down the ureter toward the bladder where the stone may be removed using a wire basket. In one step the kidney stone may first be fragmented into smaller kidney stones or fragments prior to switching to the turbulent flow.

Balloon dilation catheter system for treatment and irrigation of the sinuses

A medical device for the treatment and irrigation of a sinus opening is described. The device allows for single-handed operation to access, dilate and irrigate a sinus opening. The device includes a sinus guide catheter, a guiding element, a balloon dilation catheter, a balloon catheter movement mechanism and a guiding element movement mechanism. A method for treating a sinus opening and irrigating a sinus is also described.

ANTI-REFLUX ENEMA BAG WITH PULLEY RESTRICTOR

Disclosed are various embodiments for an anti-reflux enema bag having a pulley restrictor that acts as a waterflow restrictor, where the enema bag is leakproof, easy-to-clean, and provides a steady flow of solution. An enema bag system includes an enema bag, a nozzle comprising a nozzle outlet, and an anti-reflux coupler positioned between the enema bag and the nozzle through which the solution passes from the enema bag to the nozzle outlet. The anti-reflux coupler comprises an inlet for receiving at least a portion of the solution from the enema bag; an outlet for expelling the solution into the nozzle; and a check valve configured to prevent reflux of the solution from the nozzle. The enema bag system further comprises a pulley restrictor configured to selectively control a speed at which the solution is introduced into the nozzle and expelled from the nozzle outlet.

WOUND IRRIGATION DEVICE

A wound irrigation device may include a barrel having a fluid chamber at least partially filled with an irrigation fluid. A piston may be located in the barrel, where the piston is movable between a terminal proximal position and a terminal distal position within the barrel to control a volume of the fluid chamber of the barrel. An actuation spring may be mechanically coupled to the piston, where the actuation spring is configured such that a pressure of the irrigation fluid within the fluid chamber continuously exceeds about 4 psi as the piston moves between the terminal proximal position and the terminal distal position.

SPRAY CANISTER DEVICE

A spray canister device includes a canister containing a liquid product, a canister housing having an opening, a chassis element, and a tray slidably coupled to the chassis element. The canister includes an actuator cap and is positioned in the canister housing such that a nozzle of the actuator cap is positioned proximate the opening. The canister housing, and the canister positioned therein, may be engaged with the tray via at least one protruding member. Once engaged, the tray may be slidably moved along the chassis element between a retracted position and an extended position to facilitate relative movement between the canister and the canister housing to compress the actuator cap of the canister and spray the liquid product.

Dynamic negative-pressure therapy with instillation

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for instilling a solution to a tissue site are disclosed. In some embodiments, an instillation regulator may be fluidly coupled to a solution source and to a dressing, and the instillation regulator may draw a solution from the solution source during a negative-pressure interval may instill the solution to the dressing during a venting interval.

CONTINUOUS FLUID IRRIGATION ASSEMBLY

The present application relates to a hydraulic assembly of a generator of medium-pressure and high-pressure pulsed or non-pulsed jets. The hydraulic assembly includes a hydraulic pipe with a flexible deformable zone. The flexible deformable zone can have a state of rest and a shut-off state. The hydraulic assembly includes a unit configured to hold the hydraulic pipe with a first clamp and a second clamp holding the hydraulic pipe on each side of the flexible deformable zone. The unit can form an open space between the first clamp and the second clamp.

Sino-Nasal Rinse Delivery Device with Agitation, Flow-Control and Integrated Medication Management System
20200246599 · 2020-08-06 · ·

A device, a system and a method are provided to accurately apply a medically beneficial substance directly to a laterally or superiorly located paranasal sinus cavity. When the device is assembled with a solution in a reservoir, and inverted such that the reservoir is above an input apparatus and a housing, weight of the solution pushes down on a diaphragm creating a negative pressure on the diaphragm, which prevents air from entering the reservoir and prevents a liquid from flowing out of the reservoir. Applying a positive pressure to a bottom of the diaphragm causes the diaphragm to open and allows air to flow into the reservoir. When a user creates the positive pressure by exhaling air into the device the act of exhaling causes the user's choana to close. Thereby any solution introduced into the user's sino-nasal cavity will remain contained within the user's sino-nasal cavity increasing effectiveness of treatment and decreasing user discomfort including gagging, choking, and inner ear disturbance. When the positive pressure on the bottom of the diaphragm is removed, the flow of the liquid from the reservoir stops.
