Thermal treatment of surgical fluids

A surgical fluid thermal treatment system can be used during a procedure to heat or cool surgical fluid, e.g., prior to introducing the fluid into the body of a patient. In some examples, the system includes an open basin into which fresh surgical fluid is dispensed and a heater that heats the fluid in the basin. The system may also include a volume measurement device that measures the volume of fluid in the basin. The system may have a user interface that a user interacts with to check fresh fluid into the basin. The user may also interact with the user interface to check medical tools into the basin and check medical tools out of the basin. A controller associated with the system can track the volume of fluid removed from the basin during the course of a procedure.

Levelling device for positioning of a medical device

A levelling device for positioning of a medical device in relation to a patient is disclosed. The levelling device comprises a tube having fluid communication between a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is configured for connection to the medical device and the second end is configured for connection to the patient. The levelling device comprises a control unit connected to a sensor, wherein the sensor is configured to transmit sensor data to the control unit which is indicative of a pressure difference between the first and second end of the tube, and an actuator connected to the control unit, wherein the actuator is configured to connect to the medical device and to arrange a position of the medical device in relation to the patient in dependence on said pressure difference.

IRRIGATION FLUID MONITOR AND ALARM

An apparatus includes a fluid bag support coupling, a signal generating assembly, and a signal output driver circuit. The fluid bag support coupling is configured to support a fluid source. The signal generating assembly is configured to generate a signal in response to an amount of fluid within the fluid source. The signal output driver circuit is in electrical communication with the signal generating assembly. The signal output driver circuit is configured to transmit the signal from the signal generating assembly to a working element configured to perform a task. The signal is configured to inhibit the working element from performing the task when the amount of fluid within the fluid source reaches a predetermined threshold amount.

SURGICAL FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A surgical fluid management system delivers fluid for distending a uterine cavity to allow cutting and extraction of uterine fibroid tissue, polyps and other abnormal uterine tissue. The system comprises a fluid source, fluid deliver lines, one or more pumps, and a filter for re-circulating the distension fluid between the source and the uterine cavity. A controller can monitor fluid retention by the patient.

SPRAY CANISTER DEVICE

A spray canister device includes a canister containing a liquid product, a canister housing having an opening, a chassis element, and a tray slidably coupled to the chassis element. The canister includes an actuator cap and is positioned in the canister housing such that a nozzle of the actuator cap is positioned proximate the opening. The canister housing, and the canister positioned therein, may be engaged with the tray via at least one protruding member. Once engaged, the tray may be slidably moved along the chassis element between a retracted position and an extended position to facilitate relative movement between the canister and the canister housing to compress the actuator cap of the canister and spray the liquid product.

VACUUM DRIVEN SUCTION AND IRRIGATION SYSTEM

A vacuum assisted suction and irrigation system includes a suction and irrigation wand, an irrigation fluid supply, a vacuum source, and a dual impeller fluid pump. The vacuum source is connected to a suction valve of the suction and irrigation wand to provide suction within the suction and irrigation wand. The irrigation fluid supply is connected to the suction and irrigation wand via the dual impeller fluid pump to supply pressurized irrigation fluid to the suction and irrigation wand. The vacuum source is connected to the fluid pump to pressurize the irrigation fluid being delivered to the suction and irrigation wand.
