A door sill has a substrate having a recessed upward open channel formed therein, an extruded aluminum deck that at least partially receives the substrate, at least one threshold cap, an interior face cap that covers a portion of the substrate, and a lock key. A first portion of the threshold cap is coupled to the extruded aluminum deck. A second portion of the threshold cap is positioned in the recessed upward open channel adjacent a portion of the interior face cap. A portion of the lock key is press fitted intermediate the second portion of the threshold cap and the portion of the interior face cap. A seal is formed between the second portion of the threshold cap and the interior face cap. The seal is positioned proximate the inside wall of the upward open channel formed in the substrate above the bottom surface of the upward open channel.

SCREEN EDGE RETENTION AND SCREEN RETHREADING FEATURES FOR A HIDDEN SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND A FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY

A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly mounted in at least one of: the top portion and the bottom portion. The frame includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two jambs forming first slots extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the jamb. The first slots each include a screen edge retention feature. The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.

BUILDING APERTURE COVER, SUCH AS A WINDOW OR DOOR, COMPRISING FLEXIBLE GASKET WITH SEALED CAVITY

The present disclosure relates to a building aperture cover (1) such as a window or a door. The building aperture cover comprises a frame arrangement (2) and a vacuum insulated glass unit (3), wherein the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) comprises an evacuated gap (4) placed between a first and a second glass sheet (3a, 3b), and wherein a plurality of support structures (5) are arranged in the evacuated gap (4). The vacuum insulated glass unit (3) is arranged in the frame arrangement (2, 6). The building aperture cover (1) comprises one or more elongated flexible sealing gaskets (21, 22) arranged between an outer major surface (S1, S2) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) and a frame part (13a, 13c, 23a, 23c) of the frame arrangement (2, 6). The one or more elongated flexible sealing gaskets (21, 22) is arranged to extend substantially parallel to an edge (7, 50a-50d) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3). One or more of the one or more elongated flexible sealing gaskets (21, 22) comprises an interior, sealed cavity (21a, 22a) configured to comprise a pressurized fluid.

WINDOW FRAME ASSEMBLY

A lift rail and sill assembly for a window frame assembly includes a lift rail defining a lower rail end and an upper rail end, the lift rail further defining a seal retaining channel, the lift rail movable between an open position and a closed position; a seal received in the seal retaining channel of the lift rail; and a sill defining a lower sill end and an upper sill end, the sill comprising a sill ledge arranged at the lower sill end and a sill flange extending from the sill ledge to the upper sill end; wherein a gap is defined between the sill ledge and the lower rail end of the lift rail in the closed position to allow fluid to flow between the sill ledge and the lower rail end, and wherein the seal engages the sill flange in the closed position.

WINDOW FRAME ASSEMBLY

A lift rail and sill assembly for a window frame assembly includes a lift rail defining a lower rail end and an upper rail end, the lift rail further defining a seal retaining channel, the lift rail movable between an open position and a closed position; a seal received in the seal retaining channel of the lift rail; and a sill defining a lower sill end and an upper sill end, the sill comprising a sill ledge arranged at the lower sill end and a sill flange extending from the sill ledge to the upper sill end; wherein a gap is defined between the sill ledge and the lower rail end of the lift rail in the closed position to allow fluid to flow between the sill ledge and the lower rail end, and wherein the seal engages the sill flange in the closed position.

Replacement Weather Seal for A Garage Door

A replacement weather seal for use with a garage door having an existing two-part weather seal previously installed on the garage door. The existing weather seal has a rigid base fastened to a support frame surrounding the garage door, and a flexible combination cover and flap portion integral with the rigid base. The replacement weather seal replaces the flap portion of the existing seal but leaves the rigid base that is fastened to the support frame. The replacement weather seal comprises a main body which attaches to the rigid of the existing weather seal. Two sealing flaps are integrally molded to opposite edges of the main body, which flaps deflect and form a weather-tight seal with both the garage door and the existing rigid base. An L-shaped curb structure connects with the main body and positions the replacement weather seal on the existing weather seal rigid base.

System and method for rectifying excessive clearances of door assemblies

Systems and methods for rectifying excessive bottom or head clearances of door assemblies are disclosed. An example system may comprise a door cap straight component installed on a first side of a fire door; a door cap L-shaped component installed on a second opposite side of the fire door; at least one intumescent strip seal fitted with the door cap L-shaped component; and end caps installed on two narrow ends of the fire door.

"Sealing Closure for Swimming Pool Skimmer"

A sealing closure assembly for closing off a skimmer opening for a swimming pool includes a closure faceplate and a cover removably connectable to the closure faceplate. The closure faceplate has a sidewall surrounding a central opening, a flange protruding from the sidewall to overlap a peripheral area of the skimmer opening, and a lip protruding from the flange and extending around an inner perimeter of the flange. The cover includes a cover plate with a sealing gasket fitted around an outer perimeter of the closure faceplate, a wedge plate member for engaging an inside sidewall of the sealing gasket, and a closure member for exerting a force between the cover plate and the wedge plate to pull the cover plate and wedge plate together between a locked and unlocked position. In the locked position, an outer sidewall of the sealing gasket engages the flange (1) proximate to the sidewall of the closure faceplate, (2) at the lip of the flange, and (3) by wrapping around a terminal edge of the flange.

Door jamb and sill assemblies are provided. In one aspect, a door jamb weatherstripping assembly includes a weatherstrip member and a retaining member. The retaining member is elongated and is affixed along a length of the door jamb. The retaining member defines a retaining channel for retaining an anchor portion of the weatherstrip member, and a door seal being configured to sealingly contact the face of the door parallely to a weatherstrip portion of the weatherstrip member when the door is closed. According to another aspect, an elongated cap may be secured to the retaining member in a spaced-apart arrangement to jointly form a shielding chamber along an outer portion of the jamb. In another aspect, a door sill assembly having a U-shaped body engaging the bottom edge of the door is provided. The door sill assembly may include side channel seals and bottom channel seals.

An inflatable door seal for sealing a vehicle includes inflatable members at its right and left sides, wherein each of the inflatable members includes at least one vertical inflatable portion for sealing against sides of the vehicle, a curtain portion for sealing against the roof of the vehicle, and a bottom seal portion for sealing between the floor ground and the vehicle. A method of inflating an inflatable door seal is also provided.
