10844657 · 2020-11-24 · ·

The present invention relates to roll-up wall and acoustic barrier system (608) which may include an elongated member (300, 670). The elongated member may include a front wall (302), a rear wall (303) spaced from the front wall, a bottom wall (304), a first top wall (326a) adjacent the front wall, a second top wall (326b) adjacent the rear wall, and a channel (86) between the first top wall and the second top wall. The channel may comprise a first side wall (86a), a second side wall (86b), a first ledge (86c), and a second ledge (86d). The first and second ledges may define a slot (88) between the first side wall and the second side wall. The elongated member may further comprise a conduit (466) disposed between the front wall (302) and the rear wall (303) that is connected to the channel via the slot.

PERIMETER LIGHT BLOCKOUT SYSTEM

A perimeter light blockout system for minimizing light leakage between light gaps such as, for example, between the sides of a covering (e.g., shade) of an architectural-structure covering and the interior side surfaces of a window frame, or between the covering and the outer surface of an interior wall is disclosed. The perimeter light blockout system including a light blocking device and a mounting element for coupling the light blocking device to the interior side surface of the window frame, or the outer surface of the interior wall. The light blocking device may include rear and front channel members. The mounting element may be a mounting extrusion. Alternatively, the mounting element may be a spring clip. In use, the light blocking device may be adapted and configured so as not to contact the covering as the covering moves between extended and retracted positions. The mounting element may include a degree of adjustment so that the light blocking device may be aligned with an out-of-skew window frame.

Reduction of Sound Propagation Between Spaces Divided by a Retractable Wall

Methods and systems for reducing sound propagation between spaces divided by a retractable wall are disclosed. A retractable wall is configured to divide a space when deployed. An edge of the retractable wall is disposed into a track with a channel when the retractable wall is deployed. A bladder is configured to inflate when the retractable wall is deployed and to press the edge of the retractable wall. In this manner, sound propagation through any gaps is reduced.

The present invention relates to a gate with a gate panel, comprising several gate panel sections which are hingedly coupled to each other by way of hinges, where a hinge comprises two hinge panels of adjacent gate panel sections, at least one elongate drive means which is connected to at least one gate panel section, and at least one guide means which is suitable to guide the gate panel during its motion. In order to optimize the gate with regard to its installation space, in particular in the width and depth direction, and to ensure simple and inexpensive yet at the same time still reliable operation of the gate, it is proposed to arrange the elongated drive means at least in sections received in the gate panel section.

RETRACTABLE SCREEN WITH HORIZONTAL TENSIONING TRACK AND VERTICAL BIASING MEMBER

A retractable screen device for a framed opening employing a frame track fastened to each side support of the framed opening; the frame track forming a compartment for receipt of a guide rail with a decompression gasket positioned between the frame track and the guide rail. A screen mounted on a horizontally disposed rotatable shaft secured to a header of the opening has laterally opposed side edges with an elongated flexible protrusion secured along the length of each side edge. The guide rail receives and guides the screen protrusion along a longitudinal direction, and the decompression gasket allows the guide rail to traverse the frame track side walls to permit the screen to flex while maintaining a consistent tension on the screen. Vertical tension adjustment is provided by use of a biasing member coupled to the center axle that activates when the screen is deployed.

Track system for retractable wall

The invention is a track system for a retractable wall. The track system includes rigid outer guide tracks and flexible inner track inserts that are connected to the guide tracks by means of flanges located on both. The flexible inserts include a channel that engages with a side edge of a retractable wall, holding the wall in place. The flexible nature of the track inserts allows the inserts to bend, which in turn allows the retractable wall to flex when force is exerted on the retractable wall without breaking the tracks or tearing the wall. When excessive force is applied, the channel of the flexible insert, the walls of which are thicker than the rest of the flexible insert, bend open, so that the side edge of the retractable wall disengages from the channel by means of an opening in the channel.

A pet door having a casing and a door assembly contained within the casing, the door assembly having a plurality of rotatably interlocking segments such that the door assembly is rigid in a direction along an axis of rotation of the interlocking segments and flexible along a second axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the interlocking segments, and a plurality of end caps for preventing horizontal sliding of individual interlocking segments, the end caps having a first surface which engages the end of the interlocking segments and a recess surface spaced away from the end of the interlocking segment to allow free rotation of the interlocking segment not engaging the first surface of the end cap. The pet door further includes a magnet positioned in the end caps which are aligned with a corresponding magnet positioned along the sides of the casing member to individually position the interlocking segments in the casing.

Screen retention track

A screen attachment formed from a track having a centrally disposed chamber for receipt of a base member constructed and arranged to receive a beaded edge of a flexible hurricane screen. The base member employs an opening having a shaped entry. The base member is movable between a contracted position to an expanded position, wherein the shaped entry is deformed to cause a pinching of the beaded edge. The base member includes an expansion member to maintain the base member in a contracted position when possible. A clip can be added to support and reinforce a zipper beaded edge which allows an operator to raise a base slat well into an upper housing without the zipper exiting the track.
