An example medical fluid therapy system includes a pumping apparatus configured to pump a medical fluid from a fluid container. The example system also includes a processor configured to generate a first alarm signal associated with a first low level event of the medical fluid in the fluid container, generate a second alarm signal associated with a second low level event of the medical fluid in the fluid container, and receive an activation of a snooze element for deactivating the first alarm signal after the first low level event has occurred and enabling the second alarm signal to be activated upon occurrence of the second low level event. The system further includes a server configured to receive and route at least one of the first alarm signal or the second alarm signal for display at a user device.

In some embodiments, the bubble trap is configured to trap gas (e.g., air) that flows into the bubble trap from a fluid line. In some embodiments, the bubble trap includes an inlet and an outlet and a chamber between the inlet and the outlet. For example, in some embodiments, the bubble trap is configured to inhibit gas from flowing into the outlet once gas flows into the chamber from the inlet. In some embodiments, the bubble trap is in fluid communication with a source container, a destination container, and/or a patient.

Multi chamber flexible bag and methods of using same

A method of preparing a pharmaceutical product in a single multiple chamber flexible bag. A pharmaceutical product is introduced in a liquid state into a first chamber of the flexible bag through a first port. The pharmaceutical product is lyophilized within the first chamber of the flexible bag to provide a lyophilized pharmaceutical product. The flexible bag has a second chamber and the first chamber and the second chamber are separated by a breakable seal. The second chamber further includes a reconstituting solution for reconstituting the lyophilized pharmaceutical product in the first chamber. A user may apply pressure to the flexible bag to break the seal and mix the lyophilized pharmaceutical product and the reconstituting solution to order to administer the pharmaceutical product to a patient.

The safety valve includes a resilient, deformable, or hinged surface for isolating and sealing the medicinal flow to eliminate and/or isolate any residual volume in tubing and connectors. The isolating surface accommodates an inserted fitting or coupling for allowing the medicinal flow to fill the infusion pump. Upon disconnection, fluids on either side of the safety valve are therefore isolated on the respective fill or source sides, and residual volume prone to spillage is eliminated.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for monitoring performance of an ambulatory infusion pump. An ambulatory infusion pump can include a reservoir configured to contain a medicament including a plunger at a proximal end of the reservoir and an outlet port at a distal end of the reservoir. A motor can be configured to cause linear motion of a pushrod to contact and move the plunger to cause medicament to flow from the reservoir out of the outlet port to a patient. An optical encoder can be employed to monitor a linear position of the pushrod. In addition, the optical encoder can be employed to monitor additional system conditions and/or a secondary encoder can be employed to monitor the performance of the optical encoder.
