Further, a medication delivery assembly, a method for manufacturing a medication delivery device and a method for administration a single dose of a liquid using a medication delivery device are disclosed.

Micro-infusion device and infusion set

Systems and methods of micro-infusion of medical fluids are disclosed. Micro-infusion systems may include a pump, a patient interface, tubing between the pump and the interface, and a micro-infusion device along the tubing. A first portion of the tubing above the micro-infusion device is longer than a second portion of the tubing below the device. The micro-infusion device may include a chamber in-line with the tubing, a first valve between the chamber and the first portion of the tubing, a second valve between the chamber and the second portion of the tubing and a third valve between the chamber and a dump chamber. The second valve may be slidably disposed within the chamber. A medical fluid may be provided into the chamber that slides the second valve displacing another fluid in the chamber through the third valve into the dump chamber.

Syringe systems and methods for multi-stage fluid delivery

Embodiments of a syringe-based device for delivering fluid include a housing, a port, the port being positioned at about the distal end of the housing, a plunger assembly, the plunger assembly including, a plunger seal, a valve, and a cannula, a first fluid reservoir, where the first fluid reservoir retains a first type of fluid, a syringe including a syringe body, a syringe port, a plunger, and a second fluid reservoir, the second fluid retaining a second type of fluid, and where the syringe transitions from a first configuration in which a first portion of the first fluid type is delivered through the port, to a second configuration in which the second type of fluid in the second fluid reservoir is delivered through the port, to a third configuration in which a second portion of the first fluid type is delivered through the port.

An infusion apparatus including a body having an infusion reservoir and one end of the body adapted to receive a pierceable end of a vial, a barrel rotatably disposed in an opposing end of the body and having an internal fluid chamber, and a plunger received in one end of the barrel, wherein the barrel rotates relative to the body between a first position allowing bi-directional fluid flow between the barrel and the vial, and a second position allowing bi-directional fluid flow between the barrel and the infusion reservoir, and wherein the plunger is movable relative to the barrel to control the bi-directional fluid flow between the barrel and the vial and the bi-directional fluid flow between the barrel and the infusion reservoir.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLIES

In one aspect, a connector assembly includes a delivery conduit defining a conduit lumen and a securable connector configured to secure the delivery conduit to a medical device hub defining a medical device hub lumen. The conduit lumen includes a constant diameter region along a portion of the delivery conduit and a transition region extending from the delivery conduit to the distal end. A transition region diameter of the transition region gradually increases from the constant diameter region to a distal end of the delivery conduit. The securable connector is coupled to an outer surface of the delivery conduit and is slidable along a portion thereof. The securable connector is configured to receive the medical device hub. The securable connector is secured relative to the delivery conduit so as to fluidically couple the conduit lumen with the medical device hub lumen.
